Saludos hivers. Dormir es una actividad necesaria e imprescindible para la mayoría de los seres vivos pero para los gatos es más que eso, para estos pequeños felinos, el acto de dormir es un arte y una forma de vivir jajaja, así que aprovechando que hoy es caturday, nada mejor que unas cuantas fotos de los gatos de la casa durmiendo a placer, y también de algunos gatos del vecindario o de por ahí, para apreciar como disfrutan ellos de relajarse el fin de semana, aunque para los gatos todos los días son fines de semana 😂🤷🏻‍♀️.

Hello hivers. Sleep is a necessary and essential activity for most living beings, but for cats, it’s more than that, for these little felines, sleeping is art and a way of life hahaha. So, since it’s Caturday, what better way to celebrate than with a few photos of the house cats sleeping blissfully, and also from some cats in the neighborhood or around there, to see how they enjoy relaxing on the weekend, although, for cats, every day is the weekend. 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

Mientras nosotros dormimos porque tenemos sueño, estamos cansados o porque simplemente llegó la hora de dormir, para los gatos no existe un motivo, ellos duermen porque les encanta y porque les da la gana 😂. Las posiciones que toman cuando duermen es una de las cosas que más los caracteriza, ya sea que se acurruquen como bebés, se acuesten panza arriba o exhiban sus habilidades como contorsionistas 👌🏻. El sueño de los gatos no es siempre igual, a veces simplemente están dormitando ligeramente pero sus oídos están atentos a cualquier sonido, pero cuando se sienten seguros, duermen tan profundamente que muchas cosas les pasan desapercibidas 😴.

While we sleep because we’re sleepy, tired, or simply because it’s bedtime, cats don’t need a reason, they sleep because they love it and because they want it 😂. Their sleeping positions it's one of the things that most characterizes thems, whether they curl up like babies, lie on their backs, or show off their contortionist skills 👌🏻. Cat sleep varies, sometimes they are just dozing lightly while keeping their ears alert for any sound, but when they feel safe, they sleep so deeply that many things go unnoticed 😴.

Los gatos duermen unas 15 horas al día dependiendo de su edad y del lugar donde vivan, por lo general, los que viven en apartamentos suelen dormir más que los que viven en casas con patios o jardines ya que tienen menos estímulos con los cuales entretenerse y buscar aventuras. Los gatitos pequeños son los que más horas duermen al igual que los gatos que tienen más de diez o doce años, aunque esto también puede variar según la personalidad de cada felino.

Cats sleep about 15 hours a day, depending on their age and where they live, generally, those living in apartments tend to sleep more than those in houses with yards or gardens, as they have fewer stimulius to keep them entertained or allow them to seek out adventures. Kittens and cats over ten or twelve years old sleep the most, although this can also vary based on the individual feline's personality.

Los gatos son muy creativos a la hora de dormir, aunque tengan una cama, les gusta explorar lugares nuevos que les proporcionen una experiencia diferente jejeje, y es por eso que de la cama o el sofá de repente empiezan a dormir en una ventana, sobre un estante, en alguna maceta vacía, dentro del closet, encima de la lavadora o la nevera, etc, los gustos variarán dependiendo de las opciones que les ofrezca cada casa o apartamento jajaja.

Cats are very creative when it comes to sleeping, even if they have a bed, they like to explore new spots that offer a different experience hehehe. That’s why they might suddenly switch from sleeping on the bed or sofa to napping on a windowsill, a shelf, in an empty flowerpot, inside the closet, or on top of the washing machine or fridge, their preferences will vary depending on the options available in each house or apartment hahaha.
