Saludos hivers. En el mes de mayo asistí a un evento muy divertido dedicado a los perros, ese evento fue la primera edición del Cani-Cross que se llevó a cabo en el poblado de Guacamaya, específicamente en el Guacamaya bike park. El Cani-Cross no es más que una carrera donde los perros y sus dueños deben correr a la par y llegar a la meta juntos, obviamente cada perro debe tener su correa.

Greetings hivers. Three months ago I attended a very fun event dedicated to dogs, that event was the first edition of the Cani-Cross that took place in a small sector of La Victoria (the city where I live) called Guacamaya, specifically in the Guacamaya bike park. The Cani-Cross is nothing more than a race where the dogs and their owners must run together and reach the finish line together, obviously each dog must have its leash.

Mi hermana y yo no tenemos perros pero fuimos junto a unos amigos como expositores y pudimos mostrar algunas de nuestras artesanías. El evento empezó a las 9 de la mañana y terminó alrededor de las 2 de la tarde. Me encantan los perros así que aproveché para hacer algunas fotos de los protagonistas de este evento.

My sister and I don't have dogs but we went with some friends as exhibitors and we were able to show some of our crafts. The event started at 9 in the morning and ended around 2 in the afternoon. I love dogs so I took the opportunity to take some photos of the stars of this event.

Esta noble y dulce perrita hace vida en el Bike park 🥺, según nos contaron, alguien que vive por ahí la abandonó en este parque y tuvo a sus cachorros allí, estaba bastante delgada pero varias personas le dan comida y tienen en resguardo a sus bebés. Le sacamos las garrapatas gigantes que tenía en sus oídos 😔😬, una amiga que está pendiente de ella nos dijo que le iba a dar la pastilla contra las garrapatas pero que tenía que esperar porque aún estaba amamantando a los cachorros / This noble and sweet dog lives in the Bike park, according to what they told us, someone who lives there abandoned her in this park and she had her puppies there, she was quite thin but several people give her food and keep their babies safe. We removed the giant ticks that she had in her ears 😔😬, a friend who is watching her told us that she was going to give her the pill against ticks but that she had to wait because she was still nursing the puppies

He conocido a muchos perros poodle pero debo decir que nunca a uno tan tranquilo y obediente como este 😳🤣🤣 / I have met many poodle dogs but I must say that never one so calm and obedient like this one 😳🤣🤣

Aunque esta perrita llamada Fiona parecía intimidante con ese bozal, la verdad es que su dueño me dijo que es muy dulce con las personas y que sólo le puso el bozal por precaución porque había muchos perros / Although this dog named Fiona looked intimidating in that muzzle, the truth is that her owner told me that she is very sweet with people and that he only put her the muzzle on as a precaution because there were a lot of dogs

Había tres categorías (pequeños, medianos y grandes) y premios en dólares para los tres primeros lugares de cada categoría 🥇🥈🥉💵💵💵 / There were three categories (small, medium and large) and dollar prizes for the first three places of each category 🥇🥈🥉💵💵💵

Esta piscina improvisada fue hecha especialmente para los perros / This makeshift pool was made especially for dogs

Nada como un chapuzón para refrescarse después de una agitada carrera 🥵 / Nothing like a dip to cool off after a hectic run 🥵

Katrina, la perrita de una amiga de mi hermana también participó, corrió en la categoría mediana / Katrina, the dog of my sister's friend also participated, she ran in the medium category

Este Husky estuvo entre los ganadores de la categoría de perros grandes / This Husky was among the winners of the large dog category

Ese día la pasamos muy bien, fue muy divertido ver las carreras, algunos perros no querían correr jajaja, algunos se pusieron a pelear entre ellos 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣 y otros iban tan rápido que sus dueños no podían llevarles el ritmo 🐕‍🦺🏃🏻‍♀️🥴 jajaja, estoy segura que para la segunda edición, que será el año que viene, tanto los perros como los humanos habrán entrenado más y estarán en mejor forma física para asumir ese reto.

We had a great time that day, it was a lot of fun watching the races, some dogs didn't want to run hahaha, some started fighting among themselves 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣 and others were going so fast that their owners couldn't keep up with them 🐕‍🦺🏃🏻‍♀️🥴 hahaha, I'm sure for the second edition, which will be next year, both dogs and humans will have trained more and will be in better physical shape to take on that challenge.

Mientras todos se divertían y los perros se veían alegres de compartir con sus dueños y sus familias, mi hermana, mis amigos y yo no podíamos dejar de pensar en la perrita negra que veíamos que se acercaba a los stands de comida esperando a que le dieran algo 🥺😞😥. Como en uno de los stands de comida para mascotas daban un vasito de muestra de comida húmeda de uno de los patrocinantes, nosostros nos turnamos para tomar una cada uno y así logramos darle siete vasitos de comida jejeje ☺️🤗. Luego un chico de otro stand le dió una lata entera de comida húmeda 😁🥰.

While everyone had fun and the dogs seemed happy to share with their owners and their families, my sister, my friends and I couldn't stop thinking about the sweet black dog that we saw approaching the food stands waiting to be fed something 🥺😞😥. As in one of the pet food stands they gave out a sample glass of wet food from one of the sponsors, we took turns to take one each and so we managed to give her seven small glasses of food hehehe ☺️🤗. Then a guy from another stand gave her a whole can of wet food 😁🥰.

Ojalá todos los perros tuviesen familias amorosas y recibieran el respeto y el amor que merecen, cada vez que vemos un perro o un gato en situación de calle es una advertencia y un recordatorio de nuestro fracaso como sociedad🧏🏻‍♀️.

I wish all dogs had loving families and received the respect and love they deserve, every time we see a dog or cat on the street it's a warning and a reminder of our failure as a society🧏🏻‍♀️.
