Empezando la semana con mariposas 🦋 / Starting the week with butterflies 🦋

Saludos hivers. Las mariposas están asociadas a la libertad, a la alegría y a las grandes transformaciones, el simple hecho del proceso de metamorfosis por el cual deben pasar para convertirse en esos hermosos seres alados que conocemos ya es el mejor ejemplo de que los grandes cambios son algo que define sus vidas. Tomando esto como inspiración, decidí empezar esta semana con una publicación de mariposas, aprovechando que cada lunes representa un nuevo ciclo de esperanzas, deseos y cosas que tenemos que hacer.

Hello hivers. Butterflies are associated with freedom, joy, and great transformations. The simple fact of the metamorphosis they must go through to become the beautiful winged beings we know is the best example that great changes are something that define their lives. Taking this as inspiration, I decided to start this week with a butterfly post, taking advantage of the fact that every Monday represents a new cycle of hopes, desires, and things we have to do.

Mariposa Pavo real roja (Anartia amathea) / Red Peacock Butterfly (Anartia amathea)

En esta selección de fotos hay mariposas de diferentes especies, algunas de colores muy llamativos y otras más discretas que he encontrado en el parque, en la calle y en la montaña.

This selection of photos features butterflies of different species, some with very striking colors and others more discreet, which I have found in the park, on the street, and in the mountains.

Mariposa 88 (Diaethria clymena) / Butterfly 88 (Diaethria clymena)

La mariposa 88 debe su nombre a las dos manchas en la parte externa de sus alas que se asemejan a ese número, en algunas especies del género Diaethria, esta característica es más notoria, la parte interior es de color rojo con negro / The 88 butterfly owes her name to the two spots on the outer part of her wings that resemble that number, in some species of the genus Diaethria, this characteristic is more noticeable, the inner part is red with black

Mariposa Alas de Tigre (género Mechanitis) / Tigerwing Butterfly (genus Mechanitis)

Con la temporada de lluvia activa y muchas plantas florecidas, es bastante común encontrarse con ellas en cualquier espacio donde haya flores y el día esté soleado. A veces es fácil hacerles fotos porque simplemente se quedan ahí quietas disfrutando de una buena dosis de néctar, pero otras veces sólo quieren estar jugueteando y volando de flor en flor con el encanto que las caracteriza 🦋.

With the rainy season underway and many flowering plants in bloom, it's quite common to find them anywhere there are flowers and the day is sunny. Sometimes it's easy to take photos of them because they simply stay there enjoying a good dose of nectar, but other times they just want to play and fly from flower to flower with their characteristic charm 🦋.

Mariposa patas de cepillo (género Eunica o Dynamine) / Brush-footed butterfly (genus Eunica or Dynamine)

Una de las mariposas con las que más encuentros tengo es la mariposa Pavo real roja (Anartia amathea), son muy comunes por aquí y son realmente hermosas y llamativas con esas alas de intenso color rojo. Es imposible no detectar su presencia entre la vegetación ya que su color hace un contraste perfecto con el verde de las plantas entre las que vuela buscando flores.

One of the butterflies I encounter most is the Red Peacock butterfly (Anartia amathea). They are very common here and are truly beautiful and striking with those intense red wings. It's impossible not to spot them among the vegetation, as their color contrasts perfectly with the green of the plants they fly among, searching for flowers.

Las mariposas son uno de mis temas favoritos para hacer fotos, y muchas veces he tenido que perseguirlas para lograr aunque sea una sola imagen 🥵😃, no siempre consigo mi objetivo pero por lo menos me divierto un rato corriendo detrás de ellas 😅🤷🏻‍♀️.

Butterflies are one of my favorite subjects to photograph, and many times I have had to chase them to get at least a single image 🥵😃, I don't always achieve my goal but at least I have fun for a while running after them 😅🤷🏻‍♀️.
