Hoy os quiero mostrar mi escapada a Puerto Sherry de un par de días.
Decir que siendo un puerto deportivo con playas fantásticas y mucho ambiente de terrazas y restaurantes, es muy complicado no pasarlo bien.
Today I want to show you my getaway to Puerto Sherry for a couple of days.
Being a marina with fantastic beaches and a lot of atmosphere of terraces and restaurants, it is very difficult not to have a good time.

Puerto sherry se creo como área de recreo y navegación para muchos de los habitantes de Cádiz capital ya que como bien sabemos, Cádiz es una ciudad que no puede crecer por estar rodeada de mar. De esta forma, tan solo a unos kilómetros de ella, podemos tener lugares fantásticos para dar paseos en barco, áreas para el turismo y numerosas ventajas.
Puerto Sherry was created as a recreational and sailing area for many of the inhabitants of the city of Cádiz because, as we all know, Cádiz is a city that cannot grow because it is surrounded by the sea. Thus, only a few kilometres away from it, we can have fantastic places for boat trips, areas for tourism and numerous advantages.

El Puerto de Santa María es uno de los llamados pueblos dormitorios de Cádiz. Un pueblo con numerosos lugares de interés y para los amantes de la historia, uno de los lugares estratégicos para las numerosas batallas que se han llevado a cabo en la zona del golfo de Cádiz.
El Puerto de Santa María is one of the so-called dormitory towns of Cádiz. A town with numerous places of interest and for history lovers, one of the strategic places for the numerous battles that have taken place in the area of the gulf of Cadiz.

Puerto Sherry:

Playa de la Muralla:

El atardecer en la playa es un autentico disfrute. La luz se hace con todos los rincones de la playa y la orilla es infinita, ideal para dar juego a los pequeños.
Sunset on the beach is a real pleasure. The light takes over every corner of the beach and the shore is infinite, ideal for children to play.

Como se puede ver, hay ruinas e historia por todos los rincones.
As you can see, there are ruins and history everywhere.

Algo que me ha llamado mucho la atención es que la marea era muy significativa. Cuando llegamos a medio día, el mar llegaba a la muralla y era prácticamente imposible poder investigar la zona del roqueo. Mientras que a las 6 o 7 de la tarde, la marea comenzó a bajar y cada vez era más fácil visitar el área de rocas e incluso pudimos pasar a la siguiente playa a pie.

One thing that really struck me was that the tide was very significant. When we arrived at midday, the sea reached the wall and it was practically impossible to investigate the rocky area. Whereas at 6 or 7 pm, the tide started to go out and it became easier and easier to visit the rocky area and we were even able to walk to the next beach.

Ha sido la primera vez que he visitado este puerto deportivo y la zona pero seguro que no será la ultima puesto que tengo que decir que además de gustarme mucho sus playas, da mucha facilidad para poder hacer una corta visita a Cádiz, Rota o Chipiona puesto que lo tienes todo muy cerca.
Nosotros en esta ocasión hemos hecho justamente eso y de este modo hemos conocido más lugares del golfo de Cádiz que no conocíamos.
Es una zona muy bonita y que da muchas facilidades si lo que buscas son unos días de navegación, playa y relax.😉
It was the first time that I have visited this marina and the area but I am sure it will not be the last since I have to say that apart from liking its beaches a lot, it is very easy to make a short visit to Cadiz, Rota or Chipiona since you have everything very close.
On this occasion we have done just that and this way we have known more places of the gulf of Cadiz that we didn't know.
It is a very beautiful area and offers many facilities if you are looking for a few days of sailing, beach and relaxation.
