India is very famous all over the world for its festivals. Every festival has its own belief and its own way of celebrating it. Every new month comes with a festival that brings together the family and relatives and spreads happiness for a few days, Where we forget all our tensions, sorrows and pain and celebrate together. That is why it is said that my India is great(Mera bharat Mahan hain) Today I will tell you about a very amazing festival which is celebrated in every city, every street, every house of India, i.e Ganesh Chaturthi, it is is a vibrant ten-day Hindu festival celebrating the birth of Lord Ganesha(the elephant-headed deity) who is the remover of obstacles, wisdom,prosperity, and good fortune. He is also Regarded as God of new & fresh beginnings.

Ganpati Bappa's idol is traditionally brought home blindfolded until the Netra Mangala (eye-painting) ritual is performed during the Prana Pratistha (invoking life) ceremony. Until prana Pratistha is performed, the idol is considered to be just a piece of clay. After the puja is performed, it is said that it takes the form of God.

It is not the only ten day celebration but also bring communities, people together for great celebration & Prayers and promote Harmony. In this festival lord Ganesh Idol is installed for 10 days, Accompanied by Dhol Tasha, processions, preparing sweets, and attractive decorations, this auspicious festival comes with lots of enthusiasm & Happiness Then Ganesh ji is served a lot, where Devotees organize different programs, feed him his favourite food,Worship is done and people try to entertain God in their own way and pray that God keeps his blessings upon us.

There is an area near my house where
He comes to Ganpati Bappa every year and we welcome him with great pomp and serve him. These 10 days feel very good, the mind remains filled with joy. As we perform aarti in the morning and evening, I prepare the bhog during the day, that is why I am not able to give time to the Hive.

The festival's origin story recounts how Lord Shiva beheaded Ganesha when he guarded his mother Parvati's privacy; Parvati's sorrow led Shiva to replace the head with an elephant's, promising that Ganesha would be worshipped before all other deities. The festival was also transformed into a public event by Lokmanya Tilak in the late 19th century to foster unity and nationalism during the fight against British colonial rule.

After 10 days if celebration, Ganesh idol is immersed into the water, which teaches that nothing in life is permanent, and change is natural. Cycle of Creation and Dissolution is part of life, Encourages us to release attachments and trust the divine order.

It has been 3 days since Ganpati Bappa came, In my next blog I will show their Aarti, 56 bhog program, Kirtan, Sundarkand Paath, everything is done on different auspicious days.
