Helleborus. Flowers in the Snow / Морозник. Квіти на снігу (EN-UA)

Hello to all nature lovers!
Today I want to tell you about one incredible plant, the flower of which begins to form in winter when the temperature is below zero degrees. This plant has the botanical name Helleborus Foetidus.

It is an evergreen plant that likes to grow in partial shade. In Ukraine, it is also called "Moroznyk" from the word "moroz" which means "frost" in English. The Ukrainian name of the plant is related to the fact that in frosty weather, this plant wakes up and gradually prepares for flowering.

Two years ago, I planted this plant in my flowerbed. Last spring, hellebore first pleased me with its bloom. It is how my Helleborus foetidus looked at the beginning of April. 🏵️

Most of all, I like to watch it in winter, when Hellebore Foetidus begins to form buds. So, since the snow fell, I have been watching the Hellebore every day, taking pictures with my smartphone camera of all changes that happened to it.

Flowers in the snow look like a real miracle of Nature!

Сьогодні я хочу вам розповісти про одну неймовірну рослину, цвіт якої починає формуватися взимку, коли надворі мінусова температура і навколо лежить сніг.

Ця рослина має ботанічну наву Helleborus. В Україні її ще називають Морозник, від слова "мороз". Назва пов'язана з тим, що, власне, в умовах морозу ця рослина пробуджується і поступово починає готуватися до цвітіння.

Найбільше мені подобається спостерігати за морозником узимку, коли у рослини починають формуватися бутони. Тож відколи випав сніг, я щодня спостерігаю за моїм Helleborus Foetidus, фіксуючи на камеру мого смартфона найменші зміни, які з ним відбуваються.
