It could be so much better.

It some times hits me when I get the photos into the editor, that there are so many things I could've done differently, and that I had just spent hours of time in vain.

This is when I often feel like I'm not convincing even myself; impostor syndrome of sorts I guess.

Removing the back labels should be one of the first things to consider when shooting a transparent bottle. I'm also in a dire need of learning not to forget to use any reflectors when shooting in a studio.

Because I'm so hasty, I have to do all that in post, and boy is that annoying! Yes that way I'll get better at photo editing, but what I ultimately want is to not be so hasty, and actually have fun at all stages.

This one was shot with three softboxes, from above and both sides, but it could have greatly benefited from a backlight and/or reflectors to make the text in the front more visible. The softboxes themselves are also somewhat too obvious, which could also be fixed by using plain white reflectors.

The biggest problem in hasty work is the lack of planning. You get an idea, and you want to make it happen, and you go into it head over heels, not thinking ahead, you tend to forget stuff.

Well, life is constant learning I guess.

Btw. The rum itself was lovely and brilliantly smooth. Could be a just a tad less sweet, but all in all it's a very tasty rum.
