Forward and back views

1000025047.jpg

From where I'm situated it's a good view and I feel well-deserving of it which makes the fact I can see it so clearly even better. I'm talking about the view from Friday to the weekend, and the view back through my week!

I've had a rip-snorter of a week, a real cracker professionally, and despite it being difficult at times I feel really pleased with the way I've approached it, handled the complex nature of some parts, the potential stressors and roadblocks and worries they bring. In short, it's been a fucken good week...but there's still a day to go of course.

Friday has come quickly this week and I think it'll pass just as quickly as I've got a fair amount to do in my work day and a few potential pitfalls to work around; that's ok, the reward of a job well done, a week well-executed, is worth that effort.

I'm planning to go to an airfield this Sunday which also hosts one of those model aircraft clubs and Sunday is a public event - a jet day. They'll be flying model jets, those 5-6 foot long things that cost around $20,000 each and required a lot of skill to fly because they travel at over 200kp/h. You see, I'm considering it as a future hobby for when I exit the workforce have more time and I want to get situated with the right club and group of people ahead of time. Sunday is a recon-mission to check it out initially although I've had a few discussions already and things are progressing.

I have some other stuff planned but that's the main thing, although dinner out with my girl-person will be nice on Saturday night as well.

I'm looking forward to saying goodbye to this working week and hello to the weekend and feel happy that my view forward to the time off and backward to the week are equally as satisfying; it makes me feel deserving of the time off.

What's going on over your way this coming weekend and will you be leaving an excellent working week behind you like I am? Comment should you wish to.

Indeed, lovely blues and greens huh? This was taken at a place called Granite Island in Australia, a couple hours from where I live.

Wow! You truly deserve this breathtaking view after the busy days, Sir. Well, as for me, this weekend will be a bit busy for I have a series of thesis defense being one of the Panel of Examiners for Graduate Studies. Truly busy but I always have a time to break and escape in a view like this. Have a nice time!

I hope you find some time to relax in your busy weekend, life is too short to work all the time.

True. When I am not busy, I always love to go to a relaxing place. Thank you!

It is cool that you are already planning to have some hobbies once you will quit your work. It is important to find things that make life enjoyable. I don't think that I could fly one of those jets. I can't even drive a car and I imagine that flying at 200kp/h would require insane reaction speeds.

My weekend is starting good. Today I cut grass for our favorite neighbour. Also today I already reached my end of the year HP goal-12k. Now I am staking all my rewards so I should surpass that goal by a fair margin. It is nice to be ahead of desired outcome for once. I think that I will focus on buying HBD soon and try to achieve and maybe even surpass 2k HBD goal at the end of the year. At some point having 10-20k HBD would be amazing. I am still very far away but at least I am moving in the right direction.

It's best practice to plan ahead I think and so I do it.

It's much like you and your HBD plan, because you have some set actions mapped out you achieve or exceed your goals and that's exactly how it should be.

A model price is 20k? Wow that's crazy, it's the price of a real fullscale car

I'm still half away through Thursday, tomorrow is gonna be very long, it doesn't matter if you do an excellent work, there is no reward if you do, so why bother? I take it easy, but still Friday is long

Yeah, they're costly things, llbig and legit jet engines and all. I will probably get a second hand one if I decide to do the hobby; crashing 20K worth of model plane sounds like no fun at all.

I hope you get through your week well and feel happy with how it went, it'll be the weekend soon enough and I hope you enjoy it.

There in front of that sea could spend hours.I know that what you present is an image but its quality led me directly to the breeze, in the sun to the sound of the sea.Thank you

It's a nice view and sort of draws one in emotionally as you mentioned right?

Your weekend at the airfield sounds interesting. Hopefully you'll post some pictures later for us to see.

For me I'm playing in a local golf tournament with my dad and a couple of his friends. Nothing serious, just a fun time outside to relax and play.

I'm hoping to get a picture or two decent enough to share, we'll see.

I used to play golf, I was terrible at it so did the other golfers a favour and quite totally. Have a good round though!

Nice plan You have there.
There is a funny slangs we usually say here " weekend wey go sweet, na from Thursday you go know." ( That means if your weekend would be exciting, you would feel the vibes from Thursday)

I really envy the courage those force guys put in flying a jet and displaying with it.

For some reason May always seems to be totally nuts for my wife and I. I don't know why, but it just feels like we have something going on pretty much every day and night of the week. I have seen videos of those jets and they are pretty cool looking. I hope you have a great time. My wife and I are going camping this weekend, but we still have ton of stuff to get packed tonight!

That truly is a spectacular view you have there. A true blue view! It seems like I can breathe easier, deeper when I look at those photos.

Wow, I had no idea they had model aircraft that large! I know it was an expensive hobby even for modest sized planes. The 20 grand price tag doesn't surprise me though. I better stick with the rubber band powered balsa wood models lol.

I had one of the rubber band balsa wood ones when I was a kid, loved it!

Yeah, they have some incredible models these days, the look exactly like the real thing. I won't be spending 20K, I'll get a second hand one if I get into the hobby which is still not certain hence the Sunday thing. I'm just thinking of viable hobbies for later in life you know? When I'm an old fucker.

Those rubber band balsas flew pretty good, didn't they? lol

You know how hobbies are...you start with a secondhand plane to dabble then wind up buying......more

I was devo (devastated) when it broke. My parents didn't have a lot of money so I didn't get a new one; still, I had it for a good while, went through a few engines (rubber bands) and loved it while I had it.

And yeah, hobbies blow out of proportion and I've had many. I will try not to let that happen but...if I end up with a full size F35, well...not my fault. 🤔

That's the spirit! I'm thinking Mr. Bonkers is gonna want in on a piece of that action lol. It may become another passion to share when you are spending time together.

It's a good thing engines were so easy to replace back then . We always had a junk drawer full of rubber bands and paper clips for emergency repairs lol

Yeah, I think so too...I'd have to learn how to fly first though, not a good look crashing. He flies his dad's drone now and then, loves it, so u reckon he'd be into model planes. (I'd like to get a WWI bi-plane or a WWII Spitfire I think) We'll see in time.

I finish almost an intense working week in quality, speed and depth. I want to enjoy some time.for me by the sea, I would like a sky-blue place, with finely white sand to put my feet in 👣 and take it easy after so much work noise. Something as great as your cover photo.

I share with you what I have in front of me, at the moment, these beautiful Hydrangeas I have just placed
