The winter gives us amazing surprises like this, a beautiful and amazing corn cob, with this specials grains, with a fungi in their body, with a gray color, can you see and admire this, well here it is.

Near to our land a big quantity of this grains have been loses because a lot of people near to us, consider this as not edible coen cob because it looks very bad, and if you see for the first time you do not believe that this could edible.

Me included, the first time i see this mushroom i think this is a bad corn, with a damage and throw it but fortunately a friend told me, this can prepared a delicious quesadilla eith it and yes i did it and it was very delicious, by the way.

In Mexico it's known as "huitlacoche", I've never tried anything prepared with this fungus (I don't fancy it :D ).

If I see something like that, I'd throw it in the trash too. Like I always say, information is power. The person who explains what you can take advantage of gives you the opportunity to use it and not let it go to waste.
