Istanbul has a way of overwhelming the senses in the most elegant manner. Moving from the opulence of Dolmabahce to the serenity of the Blue Mosque, then straight into the joyful chaos of the Spice Market and Grand Bazaar, feels like traveling through layers of history in fast-forward. Which is fantastic!

We really did enjoy Istanbul! After 2 days we were ready to get to a quiet island though. I'll post again next week with our visit to Kos.
