Day & Night walks in Cluj-Napoca, Romania

Hello everyone!😊
I hope you are well and enjoying a chill and beautiful weekend! ❤️

divider photo post.png

I don't know what the weather looks like on your end, but in this part of the world, we are struggling with heavy snow in the past few days, with some cities from the Northeast having their roads even blocked due to the snow. So while a few days ago I thought it was finally that moment when I can start walking in town and taking pictures with the colors of Spring, Winter decided to visit us one more time and postpone that moment a few more days.

With this occasion, I thought that it's perfect to make a quick throwback to the last month's trip in Cluj-Napoca I had with my sister and cousin. So I'll leave down below a few pictures I took during our walks in town, both during the day and night. Enjoy!

During the day we got to enjoy both walks in town meeting interesting people and buildings architecture, but also spend time closer to nature, in parks and over the river that we crossed on the tiny Elizabeth Bridge which surprised us with the view but with the big number of padlocks representing the love of many young couples who stopped by.

Overall, being such a big and important city for Romania, I wasn't surprised to see the traffic not sleeping most of the time and meeting lots of people in pretty much any place we were reaching, but somehow the atmosphere was still a chill and relaxing one. However, we still wanted to see how everything looks like during the night too.

Cluj Arena - one of the most modern stadiums in Romania

Even though the traffic wasn't that busy during the night, we still met lots of people in the parks, close to the stadium where was one concert held but also a big and important soccer match, so if I would have to make a pick whether I enjoy the day or night walks, I'd say the night ones just because there isn't as much activity as it is during the day. But being a tourist I think it's more important to take walks while it's day outside for the sake of getting a better view over the touristic attractions and notice the architecture of the buildings which is really beautiful.

What do you enjoy more between the day and night walks?

I like the night view for the pictures I see there... I may really enjoy the night walks that's if it is safe to, although as you have said, the day would give you a better view of the architectural buildings... I like how the street is bright in the night, where I stay is more like a rural area so it is not as beautiful as I see here in your pictures.

The night walks give you a different feeling for sure. I actually took a lot more pictures during the night than during the day but they didn't come out as I wanted so I just gave up posting most of them. Thank you for stopping by. Hope you have a nice weekend! 😁

@gabrielatravels, Leothreads is now a place for photographers to share their moments. Interestingly, with a good cam, we all can fit into that role. I hope you also check out the 10k USD campaign.

I know but as you can see at the bottom of each photography post I create, everything is taken with my phone, so I definitely don't fit in the "good cameras" section 😉

I like this one:

They have a fountain here the girls like to play in that lights up with the LeDs at night and in the summer it's awesome.

I doubt someone plays in this one since it's located in a very royal part of the town, but it's nice looking both during the day & night.
