Cinematic Moments with Arthur Morgan (Red Dead Redemption 2)
Hello everyone, but especially gaming lovers! 🎮🎮
Today I am going to make a different post than what I got you used with, as recently I discovered the Gaming Photography Community which caught my attention right away, especially that I take lots of screenshots during my gaming sessions.
Just like you, I was aware of the other gaming communities on the blockchain, but somehow I never thought about posting my screenshots in any of these, thinking that I should focus more on saying how my walkthrough went, rather than sharing pictures during the process.
However, today I decided to finally pick 10 pictures to include in my first ever post in this community, with the mention that it's been very hard to pick just 10 out of the... over 3,500 shots taken so far!
The pictures represent different moments from Arthur Morgan's daily routines, which were taken and edited directly by using the in-game camera rather than capturing the cinematics from each chapter, which even if are not the best, it's been hella fun to take them and also a great away to stay away from revealing any possible spoilers to those who haven't played the game yet.
One of the earliest screenshots taken is the one from above, which shows Arthur after a gunfight with some of the bullets missing, but also a big wound on the head. I think one of the most exciting parts of the game were the endless options for clothing items and how to arrange the beard and hair for the protagonist, and I surely took advantage of this option to the best of my ability!
One of my favourite shots is this one, where Arthur was sleeping on the street, way too tired after the previous missions that had taken him far away from the camp. For those who played RDR 2, this scene might seem a bit familiar because the game always starts with a scene of Arthur either sleeping, looking in the distance, or simply resting, but the way I managed to edit the image makes it even more dramatic.
Another very familiar image is with the blind old man that you could meet very often on the street, begging for money and praying for your well-being. This is not really a quest, but one of the hundreds of spontaneous events that you could either take advantage of or simply walk away from. Personally, I always stopped by and gave the old man some money, ending up taking a picture to celebrate this moment forever.
On the list with some of the favourite shots taken, there is also the one from above, which was captured shortly after finishing a side quest where Arthur was needed to go fishing. However, even if the mission had ended, I still spent some time fishing, and even got blessed with spectacular sun rays getting through the forest trees.
One funny moment was also captured during another side quest in Strawberry village, where a man was hiding, literally, in a WC, being afraid of the person he owed money to. Actually, all these tens of side quests that go along with the main story often lead to some of the most interesting twists of the game, being a mix of emotions, jumping from laughter to tears, from anger to feeling proud, and so on. So if you played RDR 2 but skipped the side quests, this is your sign to return to the game and complete them!
And speaking of emotions, here is a very dramatic shot taken at the beginning of a new gaming session. I felt like this moment represents pretty much what was going on with Arthur, and especially how his heart was feeling despite how the story was going. It almost makes me want to reinstall the game and play it for the 4th time already!
Last but not least, being a cowboy-western-like game, the shots with the horses couldn't be missing. So above you can see some moments while Arthur was riding to various destinations, taming a new horse, or even training his own horse. I have so many shots of this kind that it's been really hard not to make a post just with this kind of activity.
Anyway, this is all for now. I hope you enjoy my first Gaming Photography post, and I can't wait to return to this community more often to show my work!
Until then, this is also going to take part in the Gaming Photography Contest of this week!

RDR2 is such a great game. I completed it a long time ago but I never forget it. It's extremely difficult to write a better story than this game had.
Can't wait for RDR3 or GTA6 too😅.
I want a hard remake of RDR 1 😅
waiting for GTA as well.
I see you finally made your first post here, welcome to the community.
I've seen 2/3 more gamers sharing their photographs from RDR 2 with us and we're so convinced that this is one of the best games for gaming photography.
Each of you screenshots and the stories behind them, are highlighted well.
But did you use the in-game photo mode for any screenshots? If you haven't and in case you don't about that feature, try it out the next time you play this game and you'll like it a lot to convert your screenshots into photography.

Good selection of screenshots! It's definitely a challenge to find the best ones out of so many you can take. RDR2 is without a doubt one of the games that gives you the best opportunities to capture these kinds of scenes.
My favorite is the one with the blind man. If I remember correctly, after you give him money, he says a few lines, and I think some of them were about Arthur's tragic future.
