Trás camara, pauta de retrato - Making of, Portrait photographs (ESP/ ENG)
Hola hivers amantes del audiovisual y la cinematografía. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un proceso detrás de cámara de una pauta fotográfica bastante interesante. Digo interesante, porque es la primera vez que realizó este tipo de fotografía y realmente me encantó.
Hello, audiovisual and cinematography enthusiasts. Today, I want to share with you the behind-the-scenes process of a rather interesting photo shoot. I say interesting because it's the first time I've done this type of photography, and I really loved it.
La verdad es que todo surgió de manera un poco improvisada, a pesar de que me avisaron con anterioridad, la persona que me alquiló la cámara tuvo algunos inconvenientes para conseguir el espacio de trabajo. Al final se pudo conseguir un salón de fiestas del edificio donde residen los clientes.
The truth is that everything came about a bit spontaneously. Even though I had been notified in advance, the person who rented me the camera had some trouble finding a workspace. In the end, we were able to secure a party room in the building where the clients live.
La propuesta que me hicieron fue solo de alquiler del equipo, pero en vista de que la persona no estaba relacionada con el espacio me invitó a asistir a la pauta y realizar las fotos. Se trataba de unas fotografías de retrato para una chica que está en estado de embarazo, me encantó la propuesta.
The proposal they made to me was just to rent the equipment, but since the person was not related to the space, they invited me to attend the shoot and take the photos. It was a portrait photo shoot for a pregnant woman, and I loved the proposal.
Me buscaron en la Yaguara, lo había acordado con anterioridad; cuando llegamos al lugar nos encontramos con la dificultad de una gran entrada de luz que no podíamos controlar y, de verdad que no sabíamos como resolver, porque nuestra fuente de iluminación no era tan potente, se trataba de una luz LED VGM bicolor de 40 watts, así que estaba un poco complicado superar la intensidad del sol.
They picked me up in La Yaguara, as we had agreed beforehand. When we arrived at the location, we encountered the problem of a large amount of light coming in that we couldn't control, and we really didn't know how to solve it because our light source wasn't that powerful. It was a 40-watt dual-color VGM LED light, so it was a bit difficult to overcome the intensity of the sun.
Teníamos un fondo negro maravilloso, más o menos de 6 metros que doblamos para utilizar. Luego de darle vueltas al asunto, ví que el espacio era blando, la luz que entraba por la ventana rebotaba por todo el lugar así que decidí apoyarme en la luz solar como lus de relleno, y la única fuente que teníamos colocarla muy muy cerca de la persona; se pudo resolver, realmente el resultado fue bastante aceptable, aunque pienso que con más planificación se puede realizar algo muchísimo mejor.
We had a wonderful black background, about 6 meters long, which we folded to use. After thinking about it, I realized that the space was soft, the light coming in through the window bounced all over the place, so I decided to use the sunlight as fill light, and place the only light source we had very close to the person. It worked out, and the result was quite acceptable, although I think that with more planning we could have done much better.
Ya teníamos nuestro esquema (bastante simple) funcionaba perfectamente porqué se parecía bastante a las fotografías de referencia que tenía la clienta. Nos enfocamos en hacerle varias fotografías a ella primero, todas en plano Medio. Luego hicimos fotos con su esposo, y por último toda la familia (coco su mascota). Todo fue bastante divertido y se dió de manera bastante orgánica. A pesar de las dificultades, pudimos resolver perfectamente entre todos, a parte de la persona que me contrató estaban presentes dos amigos más que siempre me ayudaron, eso facilito la pauta por supuesto.
Empezamos a las 9:00 am y concluimos justo al mediodía, nos rindió bastante bien. Por esta razón no hubo break, pero el catering fue al terminar todo, nos llevaron por pizza.
We already had our (fairly simple) plan, which worked perfectly because it was very similar to the reference photos the client had. We focused on taking several photos of her first, all in medium shot. Then we took photos with her husband, and finally the whole family (including Coco, her pet). It was all quite fun and happened quite organically. Despite the difficulties, we were able to work everything out perfectly. In addition to the person who hired me, two more friends were present who always helped me, which made things easier, of course.
We started at 9:00 a.m. and finished right at noon, which worked out pretty well. For this reason, there was no break, but the catering came at the end, and they took us out for pizza.
Por último les digo, aprendí algo bastante importante, a veces la solución está en nuestras narices y no la vemos, hay que mantenerse neutral, en calma, esa solución simplemente se mostrará si existe.
