Wishing for a Closer View
Sometimes I really wish I had a proper macro camera.
I say that because I’m so fond of capturing flowers for my blog. I enjoy these photos a lot, but I can’t help imagining how different they would look if I could go even closer. A macro lens would let me show the tiny world inside each blossom—the delicate veins on the petals, the texture of the pollen, the tiny drops of water clinging to the stamens.

These flowers are actually quite small in real life, but in my mind I see them as something grand and dramatic. With the right camera and lens, I feel like their beauty would appear almost otherworldly. Unfortunately my current camera has its limitations, so I work within what it can do and try my best to make the most out of it.
Still, I’m happy with today’s results. The flowers look soft and gentle in black and white, surrounded by dark leaves that make them stand out even more. I like how the light hits their petals and how each cluster has its own personality—some still in buds, some fully open and showing their tiny details as much as my camera will allow.
Maybe one day I’ll be able to upgrade to a good macro setup. Until then, I’ll keep practicing, learning, and enjoying every chance I get to photograph these small wonders.
It’s been a good Sunday filled with photography, and I’m glad I have something to share here.
Have a good day ahead, everyone.
