Starting the Day With Flowers

How do you start your day? Some people start with breakfast, some meditate, while others go straight to work. I think everyone has their own way of preparing themselves for whatever the day will bring.

For me, I like to start my day by breathing fresh air, walking slowly, and taking photos of flowers. It is a simple routine, but it gives me a calm feeling before the busy part of the day begins. I don’t need anything fancy to feel refreshed. Sometimes, a quiet walk and a few beautiful flowers are already enough.

Today, I was able to take these black-and-white photos of flowers during my walk. What I like about flowers is that they always seem to have their own character. Some look soft and graceful, while others look a little rough around the edges, but still beautiful.

The first flower caught my attention because of the way it opened widely, almost like it was welcoming the morning. The other flowers were smaller and more subtle, but they also had their own charm. In black and white, the shapes, shadows, and textures become more noticeable. Without color, I feel like the details speak more quietly but also more deeply.

Moments like this remind me that the way we begin our day matters. A peaceful start can help us feel lighter, more focused, and more grateful. Even a short walk can change the mood of the whole morning.

I’m happy to share these photos with you, and I hope they also remind you to appreciate the simple beauty around you.

Have a good day ahead.
