Snails on a Chilly December Morning
The weather has finally calmed down, so I was able to go for my walk today.
It was a bit chilly, maybe because December is already here, but it felt good to breathe in the cool air again.

While walking around the garden, I noticed something interesting on the wall, snails. At first I almost missed them because their shells blend in so well with the surroundings. Maybe they were trying to catch the weak morning sun after the rain, I’m not really sure, but they looked quite cozy just sticking there on the rough surface.
I always find snails fascinating. They move so slowly, yet they still manage to go wherever they want, carrying their little homes on their backs. I think they’re good to have in the garden, helping with the soil and quietly doing their own thing. I try to be careful not to step on them, but sometimes accidents happen because their color is so close to the ground.
One thing I always wonder about is how dependent they are on their shells. If the shell cracks, the snail will probably die too. They can’t just move into another empty shell like a hermit crab. That makes their fragile little houses feel even more important.
I took a few photos of them on the wall and converted them to black and white. The textures really stood out,the bumpy wall, the smooth, shiny shell, and the tiny details on their bodies. A simple walk, a small creature, but still something worth noticing and appreciating.
Hope you’re all having a nice, cool day too.
