Raindrops on Leaves

There was a heavy rain a while ago, and I couldn’t help but go outside to take some photos. Of course, I waited until the rain had stopped before heading out. The reason I was so eager to go was that this was my chance to capture raindrops on the leaves—a subject I find especially fascinating. For me, it’s one of the most interesting things to photograph. Raindrops can turn a simple leaf into something extraordinary, especially when captured up close.

It’s mesmerizing to watch the droplets stay on the leaves until they either dry up or are disturbed—whether by a person, an animal, or even a gentle breeze—causing them to roll toward the edge and fall to the ground.

That’s why, before that happened, I made sure to capture this moment while the droplets were still perfectly intact on the surface of the leaf. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to share this image or add it to my black-and-white photo collection here in my posts.

Moments like these remind me that beauty often hides in the smallest details. A single raindrop can tell a quiet story, if only we take the time to notice. I’m grateful I was able to capture this one before it disappeared.
