Noticing the Ordinary
We are surrounded by randomness, and I usually notice it while walking down the street. Most of the time, I don’t really pay attention to it because my mind is occupied with other thoughts. Or maybe I’m just not fully aware—or not observant enough. I mean, who really notices everything around them? That would be exhausting, I suppose.
However, there are moments when I become curious about my surroundings, and during those times, I tend to be more observant.
That’s when I start noticing even the most mundane things. In a way, those are also the moments when I take photos. Being observant helps me find interesting subjects—like the time I spotted a guy wearing a cool metal band shirt. I hadn’t seen that kind of shirt in ages, and that’s why I thought it was interesting enough to photograph.
These small moments remind me that beauty and intrigue often hide in plain sight. All it takes is a little curiosity to uncover them. Maybe the world isn't as ordinary as it seems—we just have to look a bit closer.
