My picture day: 'Everything Red'

I was supposed to participate in the Photo Essay community photography contest. However, after checking the rules again, I realized I had made a mistake by not paying close attention to the details. I initially thought the requirement was simply to submit five photos, but it actually stated that there must be at least five photos of five different objects.

Unfortunately, by the time I noticed this, it was already too late. I had specifically gone to the grocery store to take photos of interesting red items.

Although I took six photos, they only feature three distinct objects. That means if I were to submit them for the contest, I wouldn’t meet the requirement. I could have taken photos of random red things just to meet the quota, but that wouldn’t align with the theme I wanted to present in my post, which is grocery items.

Better luck next time. Or rather, better to check the rules carefully before heading out to shoot.

My original plan was to photograph the grocery items I often buy and write an essay about them. Since I can’t enter the contest anymore, I’ll simply share the photos I intended to use.
