Morning Dews After the Rain
I took these photos today during my walk earlier. The rain has already stopped, but the air still felt moist and heavy in the morning, so the leaves were covered in morning dews, like the weather decided to leave a small reminder behind.

It was still quite dark when I started taking shots, and I could tell my camera had to work harder than usual. With the lack of light, it compensated by slowing down the shutter speed, and that made a few parts slightly blurry. Honestly, I used to feel a bit disappointed when that happens, but I’m slowly learning to accept it as part of the moment. Sometimes the softness even adds to the mood, like the scene is still half-asleep.
What I really love here is how the droplets transform something ordinary into something artistic. The leaves become textured canvases, each droplet catching light in its own way, each bead of water shaping a tiny highlight. Even in black and white, the contrast feels rich: smooth leaf surfaces, scattered droplets, and the quiet shine that comes with early mornings.
This is exactly why I enjoy photographing these kinds of subjects, especially at the start of the day. It feels like I’m getting two good things at once: physical exercise from the walk, and creativity from paying attention to the small details around me.
Hopefully the slight blur isn’t too horrible. Either way, I’m happy I got to capture these simple morning dews before they disappeared.
Have a good day ahead.
