Late Morning, Still Worth It
I woke up late today, but I still managed to go for my morning walk. I won’t lie, part of me was already thinking about work and how I might end up being late. I even caught myself worrying, hoping my colleague won’t think badly about it. It’s funny how our minds can jump ahead so fast, even when we’re trying to do something good for ourselves.
Still, I went.

And I’m glad I did, because the walk gave me that small reset I always need. The air felt warm, the weather was good, and the whole morning looked brighter than the way my thoughts started. Somewhere along the path, I found a flower that immediately caught my attention. It looked strong and healthy, like it was enjoying the season as much as I was. So I focused my photography on it and took a few shots.
What I liked most was the texture of the petals. In black and white, you can really see the folds and the soft wrinkles, like the flower is wearing its story on its surface. One angle felt clean and open, and another had a leaf crossing through the frame, which made it feel more natural, like a reminder that beauty doesn’t always appear in perfect conditions. It appears in real life, with distractions and all.
This also reminded me that I have to take advantage of the weather while it’s still summer. The sunny season makes walks easier and lighter. Once the rainy season comes, it will be harder for me to get outside, and I know I’ll miss this kind of morning. So even if I’m late sometimes, I want to keep choosing these small moments while I still can.
Anyway, I’ll hurry now.
Have a good day ahead.
