I visited the Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve

In the morning, I visited Sungei Buloh Wetland Reservoir.

It's a lesser-known nature park here in Singapore. Unlike famous tourist spots like Gardens by the Bay, or Botanical Garden, Sungei Buloh is less crowded. So when I arrived at the park earlier, there were less than 10 visitors. There are few visitors because it's a weekday and it's also far from the city center. I think there are many visitors on weekends because it is more in favor of the locals due to its serene environment.

Honestly, I was impressed by the beauty of this place. I liked that the developer of this place has preserved the natural environment even with many human-built structures such as boardwalks, mini bridges, observation decks, and stairs that connect the decks.

It's a wetland that's why there are fish ponds, lotus ponds, mudskippers ponds, and many plants and trees similar to mangroves.

Unfortunately, I didn't see the monitor lizards and crocodiles release because I arrived here at the park quite late. I arrived at 8 AM but it's quite hot at this time so maybe the reptiles are hiding in their holes.

Overall, I enjoyed the experience because it was not crowded so I was relaxed walking around the park. It's a bit disappointing because we didn't witness the activity of reptiles in this wetland. If I am able, I can say that I am fully satisfied with my experience in this park. For sure I will come back to Sungei Buloh and I will make my arrival earlier so that I can get the complete experience I planned.
