Fun walk along the Orchard road

I seldom go to this area because it is often crowded and most of the food places here are on the expensive side. I’m not into fancy food and clothing so there’s no motivation for me to visit this place. This morning, it happens that I will be passing by this area so I wander around quite a bit to see what improvements have they made lately.

I reached the area at around 8:40 AM. On a Saturday morning, there are a few people that are walking and jogging along the Orchard. It’s a different vibe during the weekdays when many of the office workers are rushing to get to their offices. Now, there’s a calm vibe around the area.

Whenever I think of Orchard Road, I often think about expensive brands like Coach, Prada, Giorgio Armani, LV, and the rest of the top brands that you can think of. All of them have their spot in this part of the city.

I made a good decision to alight and go for a quick walk along Orchard because of the nice weather which doesn’t happen often during this season.

I think it’s been a long time since I wandered around this area when I saw a building that I couldn’t recognize. This is one of the buildings that was built recently.

It looks like a building in a post-apocalyptic movie. The overgrowth of the vines made this building very interesting when compared to the modern high-rise buildings that are entirely covered with glass facades.

Other than this building, many of the buildings showcase a modern facade design. Some of the buildings will even look like giant Lego structures.

There are also buildings that feature a facade design that looks like it came from the Jurassic Era.

The most interesting modern building in this area, in my opinion, is the ION Orchard Mall. The roof looks like a floating blanket. The whole building is also populated with lights that are amazing during nighttime.

Another interesting shop to see in this area is the walkway side stalls like 7-Eleven and Haagen-Dazs.

After a 20-minute walk around Orchard Road, I went to the MRT station and continued my route. I just realized that the latest addition of the Orchard MRT Station that is linked to the Brown Line looks amazing 🤩.

They created a modern vibe using these steel and mirror materials on the ceiling.
