Finding My Way Back to the Light

Missing a few days on my Project 365 feels more frustrating than I’d like to admit. It’s funny too, months ago, when the rainy days were endless, I managed to post consistently. Now the weather is actually great, and somehow I’m the one struggling to keep up.

So yeah, I think the problem isn’t the sky outside. It’s me.

I’ve been trying to figure out what changed. Maybe I relied too much on the “mood” of rainy weather to push me into creating. Maybe I got comfortable, then lost momentum. Whatever it is, I don’t want this to be the part where I stop. I want this to be the part where I adjust.

Tonight, I went out and made myself shoot anyway, no excuses, no waiting for the perfect moment. I focused on simple subjects and let the light do the heavy lifting. Leaves, stems, shadows, and that strong glow from the lamp that turns ordinary details into something dramatic. In black and white, everything feels more honest. The textures become louder, the shapes feel clearer, and the contrast gives the scene a kind of quiet intensity I really like.

These photos are my reminder that I don’t need a big adventure to continue this project. Sometimes I just need to show up, point the camera, and let curiosity return one frame at a time.

I’m sharing tonight’s shots below. Thanks for being here, and I hope you enjoy them.

Have a great day ahead.
