Finding Beauty in an Empty Bottle
Earlier today, I came across an empty perfume bottle and thought it might make an interesting subject. I don’t usually take photos of objects like this, but something about its design made me stop. Someone had thrown it away, yet the bottle still had this quiet elegance that I felt deserved a bit of attention.

I set it up under soft light and began experimenting with angles. It was fascinating to see how reflections behaved differently depending on how the bottle was turned. The way glass catches and bends light can be unpredictable, but that’s part of the fun. With each adjustment, the shadows and highlights shifted until I finally found a balance that felt right.
Unlike my usual nature or street photography, this exercise felt like a small study in shape, tone, and composition. It reminded me that beauty doesn’t always come from grand scenes, it can be hidden in simple, forgotten things. Converting the shots to black and white made the textures and reflections stand out even more, giving the photo a quiet, timeless feel.
This was a good reminder for me that creativity can come from anywhere. Even something discarded can become a moment worth framing, if you just take the time to look closely.

”To see in color is a delight for the eye, but to see in black and white is delight for the soul.”

Beauty in emptiness! Nice one
Agree to that. Thanks
