Exploring the newly built Senkang Grand Mall

It was last weekend when I took a 45-minute bus ride to Sengkang area. It's part of District 9 which is in the north-eastern region of Singapore. It's mostly a residential area with commercial and recreational activities. It's far from the city but there are a lot of people who want to stay here because of many good reasons.

One of them is probably because it has a family-oriented environment. It's not as congested as the other districts that are close to the city center. And the best part is that there are plenty of establishments that focus on recreational activities like playgrounds and indoor basketball courts. I'm amazed to learn that the Sengakng Grand Mall has an indoor basketball court and I'm lucky enough to visit during a sports event.

Integrated to the shopping mall is the Buangkok Food Hawker Centre which houses a variety of food stalls that offer a wide range of cuisines from the traditional to the trendy food stuff of today.

My eyes lit up when I saw a long stretch of food stalls from the escalator to the other end of the building. Almost immediately, I explored the hawker center because I was starving when I reached the place.

As I walked along the corridors to check out which among the stalls would make me drool, I found this new food gem that offered a modern twist to a traditional pancake recipe. It's the Munchi Pancakes!

The pancake served as the appetizer for my lunch! I ordered the Biscoff pancake and the Black Sesame Charcoal pancake. It was a hard decision to make because there are plenty of nice flavors to choose from.

I will definitely come back for more!

The next stop will be the main course, I would like to try something different so I went to the Jue Shuang Braised Delights to try the Fried Cod Fish Lor Mee and experience a meal that I very rarely eat at all.

I like the thick soup of this dish. Maybe I will try the signature dish on my next visit :)

Of course, to complete my lunch, I need a drink that will go along with all of the food that I got. I went to the 38 Coffee Drinks stall to get a cup of Iced Coffee! I like their blend because it isn't too sweet and it's not too creamy as well. It has the ratio that I prefer.

After finishing my meal, it's time for me to burn some of those calories away. I went around the mall for a few more rounds of photography and a slow walk.

My journey to the world of places.

It seems that nobody made a post about it yet so I gladly pin it in the Pinmapple worldmap!

A massive mall. Everything is right inside. Its cool that basketball court for kids. A lot of stalls there. I like coffee too, one with the right balance of cream and sugar. This mall is a place to have a great time and I believe your visit was worth the time. Massive place, massive decoration, beauty and fun!!!!.

That's right, a basketball court in a mall is a cool addition. So far, this is the only mall that has this kind of indoor recreational activity.

Hi 👋 Not permanently. I'm here through a long-term visit pass :) Hopefully, someday it will be much longer than that :)
