Catching Up and Looking Ahead

It's been a while since my last post, so I logged in today to see what's happening on the platform. My previous post was from last year, which means I’ve been on a six-month hiatus. What explains my absence? Nothing major, just a simple break. Now that I’ve found the motivation to post again, I’m returning to my usual activity.

And if I'm being honest, I don’t really have a very interesting story to tell either. But I believe we don’t need to have an incredible story to post here on Hive. We just need to share something authentic, no matter how mundane it may seem.

What’s up, everyone?

The first thing I searched for was whether there are any contests currently happening on the platform. I’m especially interested in joining fun photography contests like the ones we used to have back in the day. I remember the black and white photography challenge, and there was a color challenge too.

One of the contests I used to participate in with real passion was Tim Said’s My Picture Day. I think that contest was what really got me hooked on the platform. It started way back before Hive, and I remember it was brought back here for a while, but it seems to be inactive now.

Anyway, those fun times had their moment in the past, but I’m still hopeful that events like that will be revived again on this new platform.

As I'm just getting back into posting again, it may take me a while to find a rhythm I can maintain. After a long break, I already feel a bit rusty and need more time to adjust to the current activity on the platform. It's not easy to readjust and relearn things, but I hope I can return to the level of activity I had before. That’s something I look forward to rediscovering.

I'm also not sure if the users I used to engage with are still active on the platform—I haven’t checked that yet.

Right now, I’m still figuring out what kind of content I’ll be sharing this time around. Whether it’s photography, travel, or simple life events, I haven’t decided yet. I feel that the first step is to reconnect with others through the active communities that are still going strong.

I’m excited to see where this new chapter on the platform takes me, one post at a time.

It's can be overwhelming trying to return to a routine after taking such a long break but allow me the honours of welcoming you back.

I believe you'd find your footing and I hope more contests and communities pique your interest.

Ps: the thumbnail image looks really good :)

Welcome back! It’s great to see you posting again—sometimes the simple, honest updates are the most relatable. Looking forward to what you’ll share next.
