A Small Flower, A Steady Routine

In every morning that I go for a walk, I always end up enjoying the same simple thing: taking photos of the plants and flowers I see along the way. It sounds small, but over time it has become more than just “taking pictures.” Editing them, choosing which ones to share, and posting them online has turned into a routine, and honestly, a personal journey too.

These shots reminded me why I keep coming back to this habit. I love how a tiny flower can stand out even when it’s surrounded by so much greenery. In black and white, the contrast becomes the story. The leaves look heavier and textured, while the flower feels light, almost like it’s floating in the middle of everything. It’s a simple scene, but it holds a quiet kind of beauty that makes me pause.

I like going for a walk because it’s my form of exercise, but it’s also my time to be alone and think through life. There’s something about moving forward, step by step, that helps my thoughts fall into place. I don’t always figure everything out, but I feel calmer. More grounded. Like my body and my mind are finally in the same room.

And that’s what I’m most grateful for. This routine helps me calm my body and my spirit as well. It gives me a gentle start before the noise of the day begins. Even if the day gets busy later, I can look back and remember that I had at least one quiet moment where I chose to slow down and notice what’s around me.

Have a good day ahead.
