A Cold Morning, Warm Sunshine
It’s such a cold morning today, but that didn’t stop me from going for my usual walk, and of course, bringing my camera with me. I ended up spending a few quiet minutes in the backyard, just looking around and appreciating the small flowers that were waiting there like tiny rewards for getting out of bed.

What I love about mornings like this is how simple they are. The air feels sharp, my hands feel a bit numb, and everything looks a little calmer than usual. But once the sun starts peeking through, it’s like the whole day gets a gentle reset. That warm sunlight is honestly one of my biggest motivations. It’s such a comforting feeling to step outside, breathe in fresh air, and let the light wake you up naturally.

These photos were taken with that exact mood in mind. The flowers may look delicate, but they also feel strong, standing out quietly among the leaves, almost like they’re reminding me to keep showing up even when it’s cold. I also enjoy how black and white simplifies the scene. Without color, the textures become louder: the softness of the petals, the roughness of the leaves, and the little details that might be easy to miss in a quick glance.
Moments like this remind me why I keep coming back to photography. It’s a peaceful way to start the day, and it makes me feel grounded, one frame at a time.
I hope you’re all having a wonderful morning as well.
Have a good day ahead.
