A Brighter Side of Rainy Days
The rainy season has officially begun, and with it, the garden is starting to feel alive again. After several days of rain, I noticed that more flowers are beginning to bloom, and the plants around the area are becoming lush once more. I took this chance to capture some of these flowers in black and white, hoping to show their simple beauty in a different way.

Rainy days can sometimes feel gloomy and depressing, especially when the sky stays dark and the air feels heavy. It can slow down our plans and make the day feel less cheerful. But when I looked closely at the garden, I realized that the rain also brings something beautiful. It gives life to the plants, refreshes the leaves, and encourages flowers to bloom again.
That is what I wanted to capture in these photos. Even without color, the flowers still carry a soft and graceful presence. The contrast between the light petals and the dark background makes them stand out more clearly. It reminds me that beauty does not always need bright colors to be appreciated. Sometimes, black and white makes us notice the shape, texture, and quiet character of a subject even more.
I guess life is also like that. Some seasons may feel heavy, but they can still bring growth in ways we may not immediately see. We just have to look at the brighter side of things and allow ourselves to appreciate what is still beautiful around us.
Thinking positively does not mean ignoring the gloomy parts of life. It simply means choosing to notice the small blessings that come with them.
Have a good day ahead.

”To see in color is a delight for the eye, but to see in black and white is delight for the soul.”
