Walk with Me At Our New Plots Of Lands

I long for this, where we have land to grow some food crops. The one hubby was able to secure at his working place last year was already late as We intended to plant beans on it but this year, this one just came at the right time. In this part of the country, which is the northern part, most of the land is desert. For this, only crops like groundnut, corn, beans, and Bambara nut, soya beans can do well here. So we planned to go into some of them and see how it goes.

Below is the school building where he works, at the back of it located about two plots of land, given to him by the school management. What made me love this location is that we wouldn't have to worry about insecurity and soldiers are guiding the whole premises 24/7 due to the location of Nigeria Defense Academy here. So unlike any other random land around we have a rest of mind against bandits and thieves.

The land just before we started clearing and after clearing it.

The clearing was so easy, the main plant on it is very easy to uproot without even the need to use a hoe or cutlass. Just the two of us, we were able to do the whole thing there within six hours. It was really fun doing this. The last time I worked at the farm was in 2012 and I miss those days. I miss the fresh air from the trees and the unique smell of the grasses. It brings me closer to nature and I enjoy all its beauty.

By the time we were done with clearing, I took a walk around other plots of land to see if anything could capture my heart and made it to my hive blog, and below are what I found. I hope that you enjoy it because I had so much fun taking them.

A little path that leads to other plots of land in the area.

I came at a perfect time when this Aframomum flower still looks beautiful with its purple color. I don't think I've ever seen its flower before.

An unknown tree with some fresh tiny leaves just in front of the locust bean tree. From the looks of things, it has just been trimmed so that enough sun could land under it.

This right here brought back some old memories from when I was very little, this is a termite house, back in those days I would sit on it while I watched my parents work on the farm. Termite bit of my skin a few times in those days hehe.

I remember this leaf from the past but couldn't find the name with my google lens. I also forgot the name in my dialect but it is too beautiful for me to ignore.

By the time we wanted to leave, it started to rain which allowed me to take these water droplet shots of these flowers just in front of their office.

I love this time of the year because all the plants and flowers are alive, green, and beautiful.
