Good morning, Hive-ians! 😊
We had some very chilly days this week, but the sunsets were stunning. 😊
The turkeys came by several times each day this week, doing multiple laps around the yard each time they stopped in, so we never knew which window we’d see them out of. 😊
They were kind enough to spend a bit of time working in our garden, too. 😊
I spent a couple days in the kitchen baking and producing a lot of dishes. 😊
The pumpkin cookies turned out great. 😊
So did the raisin bread. 😊
Some of the turkey hens are getting used to us. We can now stand in the doorways and come outside, depending on which hen it is, to snap a few pictures. 😊

These burgers, made from leftover beef off of a soup bone that I cooked down this week. They turned out really nice and tasted great. 😊
This spot, at the bottom of our driveway, seems to be the new favourite spot for our flock of turkeys to sunbath. Its quite a beautiful sight to see as the sunlight hits their feathers. 😊

I wasn’t thrilled with the way our first set of Church Supper Baskets turned out, so we’re trying again…hopefully, this time, we can get them to match. 😊
So far, they’re looking exactly the same and we’re happy with our progress. 😊

Those large baskets will be very useful, I think. They say the sunsets are caused by the wildfire smoke. It made it down as far as our farm on Tuesday. Then high winds blew it away.

We think so. I'm looking forward to filling them with sweet peppers and peas this summer...maybe some corn and tomatoes too, but I think the potatoes would be too messy for them and squash, and pumpkins would be too heavy. We'll just use pails and buckets to haul in the potatoes, squash, and pumpkins. 😊
You're garden is already waking up there, that's nice to see. We'll be a bit behind you, though today is so nice and bright and warm, when out of the wind, that it gives us hope for an early spring here. 😊
