Good morning, Hive-ians! 😊
I managed to get a bit of spring cleaning done before the weather turned cold and brought loads of snow with it. I started by taking everything out of the cupboards, wiping all the shelves, inside and outside of the doors and then loading it all back into the cupboards, starting with my baking equipment cupboard. 😊
Then my baking moulds and stones cupboard. 😊
Our spices and essential oils cupboard turned out tidier than I’d thought it ever could. 😊

Our volunteer house broccoli is flowering. 😊
This cupboard was my most disorganized, no idea why, but it looks better. 😊
This was hanging out with our basement plants. 😊
We have 3 adult Toms and 6 young Toms in our flock of wild turkeys and we’re up to 23 that visit us now. 😊
We have been getting more Blackbirds, Red-winged Blackbirds, Junco’s and European Starlings this week. 😊
We ran out of butter this week, so I tried doing some baking using tallow in lieu of butter and it turned out quite well with our breads/buns and this coffee cake. 😊
Two of our volunteer Sunflowers are opening up. 😊

The moon going to bed as the sun’s getting ready to rise this morning. 😊
Had to walk through snow up to my knees to feed the birds earlier and this was the snow outside the back door when we opened it this morning. 😊

I love the imprint of the door in the snow. I have a photo from long ago like that. I need to clean my pantry and kitchen cabinets like that! We often find mosquitoes in the house. They come in on the firewood. Too bad about so much snow! Ours was loads of rain. But it will melt, soon enough…

We get that same imprint most winters around here. We're just grateful that this winters been so mild compared to the past few, except for the winds, they've been crazy this winter...almost knocked me on my behind a few times while I was out feeding birds. 😊
We're really looking forward to the melt and thaw coming. The sunshine keeps coming in and out from behind the clouds today, so warm when out, but chills right down after the clouds swallow it back up, because of the winds. We have had many large male mosquitoes around this winter, the dogs like to chase them, silly goobers. LOL! 😊
Break time is over and I've got to get my behind off the computer and get some other things done before starting supper, so I'll chat with you again soon. 😊
