Good morning, Hive-ians! 😊

We’ve had some amazing sunset colours this week, like these beauties, so many different ones to enjoy. 😊

This shot looks like a painting instead of a photograph to me. 😊

I was photobombed by one of our Blue Jays when I was taking sunrise shots. 😊

We get so many flying friends around here that it’s hard to know which one to watch, they’re all different and very intricate and cool to see. 😊
image.png
The Crows/Ravens got several visits this week by Hawks and Eagles and they weren’t happy about any of them. 😊
image.png
The European Starlings returned for a few visits this week. 😊
image.png
We have been blessed with some great meals this week, like the beef fajitas on homemade tortillas. Yum! 😊

Some more of our gorgeous sunset colours this week. 😊

We’ve had a bit of rain this week, but thankfully, it never deterred our squirrels, chipmunks, and feathered friends from stopping by. Sorry @goldenoakfarm, no clear pictures of Half-Penny this week, he came while it was raining and my camera got wet and none of them came out, ugh. Maybe next week. 😊
image.png
No matter how wet they got this week we could look out and see Blue Jays or other birds on the feeders. 😊

My handsome husband being used as a table and shelter by a couple of our squirrels. At one point we had 8 of them around and under us while we were sitting and chatting, it was very cool. 😊
image.png
We’re out of stewing beef, so I just used ground beef instead and made us a beautiful stew using our potatoes, corn, carrots, peas, garlic, onions and tomatoes, and it was very hearty and will give us leftovers to freeze and enjoy again, yay! 😊

I was fed up with our so-called High Efficiency Samsung clothes washer taking more than three hours to do a load of laundry and still not coming out clean, so I got rid of it and replaced it with this tiny washing machine. It takes no more than 15 minutes to wash a load in here, sure the loads are smaller and still need to be rinsed after, but they’re clean and come out of this way dryer than my HE Samsung washer. The only issue it had was water would come out around the rim, so my handsome husband fixed that with some silicone. It’s faster, quieter, cleans my clothes better and takes up way less space, I love this machine. 😊
image.png
We decided to make three loaves of bread today, two white loaves and one cinnamon raisin, to get us through the weekend, this is them after I put them on the barbecue to cook. 😊
image.png
Well, that was how things have been going for us here. I hope you have all been safe and healthy and have had an amazing week! 😊 I’m grateful to God for blessing us with another week to share with you here. 😊 God bless you all. 😊 Have an awesome week everyone! 😊

I liked the birds in the photo with the light blue color best plus the chickadee. I dunno if I'd like a small washer and having to do more loads, but if they didn't come clean, what's the point of a big one?

Always amazed at all you cook and bake on the barbecue!

Welcome back lovely lady, thanks for visiting! 😊

We get so many beautiful coloured/patterned birds here, its hard to know which ones to try and get on camera and we enjoy them all, especially the Chickadees because they'll eat out of our hands. 😊

The little washer showed me how much soap was being left in my clothes/towels from the big washer...I literally didn't add any soap at all and there were so many bubbles that I had to rinse the load several times to get all the soap out and then I washed it and it was still faster than washing one load in the old washing machine. I love it and look forward to doing laundry now, like I used to when I helped my grandmother put things through her old wringer washer back when I was a child. 😊

Me too, to be honest I was worried about cooking/baking things on the barbecue at first, but now I'm very comfortable and willing to try making almost anything on there. Soon we'll get a lot more practice cooking/baking on/in the wood stove too and hopefully we'll get good at that by the time we get the funds to get a "new-to-us" stove that works again and we'll have multiple options on cooking places to choose from if needed. 😊

I'm about to go make a batter for a cake to go on the barbecue right now, a chocolate cake from scratch and if the wind keeps cooperating, it should be cooked in 45 minutes and we'll be able to enjoy it for dessert tonight. 😊

It's something everyone should try a couple of times, just for the experience. Both the wood stove and barbecue have helped us since the oven part of stove died and the elements went insane on the stovetop on Christmas day last year, it would have been harder trying to cook on a camp stove, but we'd have done that if we'd had to too, thankfully, God helped us figure out the wood stove and barbecue first and we didn't. 😊

God bless you and your wonderful family. Have an awesome day my fabulous friend! 😊

Welcome back my friend, thanks for visiting! 😊

Blue Jays are one of my favourite birds to photograph because I love their colour, some day I'm going to convince one to eat out of my hand and get an up close shot. Thank you very much, it tasted great and we had enough of it to freeze some for later and were still able to enjoy it for a couple of days as well. The leftover mashed potatoes that I used in it thickened it up quite nicely by the second day and it warmed us up quite nicely too. 😊

I have to go get a cake put together and out onto the barbecue, so I'll bid you adieu for now. 😊

God bless you and your wonderful family. Have an awesome day my fabulous friend! 😊
