Mount Katahdin, over in Maine, USA, stood out clearly in our sunsets this week. 😊
It’s been a busy week here on the homestead. I tried to finish my basket and realized that I don’t know how to count rows as well as I thought I did because I put two rows too many in my basket and ran out of the material for around the handle, doh. 😊
This weeks baking included a batch of cinnamon rolls for my handsome husband with raisins in them and a batch without raisins for myself. 😊
My handsome husband said his were perfect. 😊
Mine turned out good enough that I decided they were shareable with our neighbours daughter and sent one over for her to enjoy. 😊

For our Valentines’ supper I made us a beef roast, veggies, mashed potatoes, and gravy in our Instant Pot, well not the potatoes, they were done in a pot, but the rest was all done in the Instant Pot. It’s a handy cooker to have and makes a tender roast out of the toughest cuts. 😊
Look who returned this week. We love seeing them come back every year. 😊
We’ve only seen 14, so far, and I just accidentally deleted all my pictures...so I guess that means I'm done with this post. LOL. 😊

Geez, I don't like raisins in things either, and I've deleted photos more often than I want to think about. We used to have lots of turkeys here, but I haven't seen any in years. They are around, just not here. :(( Much like the bears...
At least I got to see your basket! It also looks sturdy. Can you get more material to finish the handle?

I'm glad I'm not the only one that has done the accidental deletion of photos. I feel like such a nitwit for doing it though. Oh, well, I wasn't meant to keep those pictures apparently. Maybe my next batch will be nicer. 😊
Our flock of turkeys has been coming here every year for the past five or six years now. It's always a treat to see them for us, not so much for our dogs, but they enjoy barking at the turkeys as they walk across our front yard, so I guess we all get enjoyment, in our own way, from their visits, LOL! 😊
Thankfully, we ordered a new pattern to practice and it came with enough for that basket and had enough left over material to finish my basket off, I'll be including a picture of the new basket(s) and my finished product in next weeks post, if I don't delete the pictures, again, LOL. It's going to be a fun hobby and I think it will help strengthen my fingers, maybe help loosen up some of the arthritis while we do it. That would be a huge blessing for me as my hands are quite stiff most days. 😊
Okay, my tea is gone, so that means its time to get off the computer and start my morning cleanup. I'll chat with you again soon. 😊

Me too! I hated seeing it sitting their, so close to being done, but not...taunting me...not really, but it did give my OCD some stress. LOL! 😊
Just remember, this was my first and his second, though, he's completed two more since that one in my post. He's got a natural ability or something...not me, but I give it all I got, before taking a break. LOL! 😊

Yes, he is, he's a natural it seems. I don't think its a bad thing...probably because he's got a good brain for math...mine's more for spelling...at least it used to be, now its just tired. LOL! #&128522;
Thank you. I'll get better at it, the more I practice, but until they come out exactly as I want them to, I'll just use them as garden harvesting baskets. We can never have too many of those. 😊
