Good morning, Hive-ians! 😊
We’ve seen the turkeys early each day this week. 😊
We’ve also got a whole slew of new squirrels to acquaint ourselves with this year. 😊
The turkeys were brave enough to let us both be out and about while they were eating this week. It was so cool to just watch them without a window between us. 😊

I did a bit of tweaking to my oatmeal chocolate chip coconut cookies and they turned out great, not perfectly shaped, but tasty nonetheless. 😊
The dogs have been enjoying the pumpkin treats I’ve been making them. They love the crunch they have after they’ve been baked, sliced and put through the dehydrator. 😊
My handsome husband and I both finished way too many batches of these cookies, but they were so good. 😊

The basement sunflowers are getting closer to opening. 😊
I can’t believe I spent so many years eating boxed Kraft Dinner instead of just making my own, this was much better, in my opinion, than the boxed version. 😊
Winter is back, ugh. 😊
We did an experiment with our decorative corn seed and our commercial sweet corn seed and our home corn did much better, with a 14 out of 16 decorative corn seeds germinating and looking great on the left. The commercial corn seed, Candice bought from Vesey’s only germinated 7 out of the 16 planted, not even half, so disappointing. We’re going to try another test with them starting on a heat pad, to see if that improves the Vesey’s seed germination, if not, we’ll be asking for a refund and send the seeds back. 😊

Thank you very much, they are my mother-in-laws recipe, with a minor tweak of adding a smidge of homemade vanilla and a wee bit more cinnamon than she uses. 😊
No, no sign of Half-Penny, yet. We won't see him while the snow is still here...usually just the ladies and their youngsters come by this time of year. We'll see him again once it warms up, if he made it through the winter, and I can't see why he wouldn't as he's been here for at least four years now and this has been the mildest winter we've had since we first met him. Lots of cute little new ones to try and differentiate enough to name this year. I had three little ones via for my attention (and treats) this morning, it was so nice to see them being so brave. 😊
As soon as Half-Penny and the other regulars are coming around, I'll be sure to let you know and share loads of pictures. 😊
My first cup of tea is done. Now to get my second one and go through my messages before starting the housework and baking of the day. So, that means I have to say goodbye for now and chat with you again soon. 😊
