How did my garden get through the winter

It has been a while since I posted my last gardening blog. It has been a long, cold and wet autumn and winter, but it's becoming spring again! So it's tome to go out in the garden again to see how things are going.

Half of the herbs in my rack have survived the winter. The Parsley, Chives and Thyme are looking good.
I've moved a mint plant out of a pot into the ground and that one also is still alive!

My I reorganized my garden at the end of the summer. One of the things I did was dig out the raspberry bus which was expanding quite a bit. I have seperated the stems and placed them in a line in front of a mesh. This way it will get more sun and will it be easier to pick the raspberries I hope.
The branches are already showing some new leaves.

The apple tree we planted last year is already showing some buds. I'm really curious whether we will be getting apples this year.

We also planted an almond tree last year. I've extended the sticks that should guide the branches.
It is already showing its neautiful pink blossom!

Another experiment is the blueberry bush. I've frequently added coffee grounds to the soil to keep it a bit sour. I didn't do this with a blueberry bush we had before and that one never gave us any berries. I hope this one will.

I was quite late with planting some seeds last year. It was at the start of the year, so there wasn a lot of sun and warmth. Despite that some plants did show up.
On the left there are some carrots. They are still really small.
In the middle there are the cauliflowers. There is no sign of a cauliflower yet, but the leaves start growing. The beetroot on the right also didn't really grow that fast.

I don't know if these will start growing since it will get warmer now or that I'd better remove them.
They were seeded back in September/October. Anyone some good tips?

I did mention it before, but a Discord channel where one can post gardening questions would come in handy here.

Here's one of the cauliflower plants up close.

And I have also started another experiment; I've been planting some seeds indoor. I have planted seeds for peppers and checrry tomatoes. It's 5 days ago since I've planted them. They should germinate within two weeks, so I hope it will work out.

I will keep you updated on the progress!

I think it's the joy and the heart of the gardener that made those plants not just survive but also grew beautifully.💚😊

I've never seen an Apple tree. So that's what the bud of an apple look like.

Just wow, you just made me feel jealous... this garden will look like paradise. 🤩 How I wish I can do some gardening, too. And oh, particularly harvesting.

So delightful to see them in photos must be really really lovely to see them in person🥰.

Looking forward to see the yield of this beautiful garden.
