Fungi season has started!

The summer really has come to an end in Western Europe. We've had quite some rain in the past few weeks, so the soil is getting wetter and wetter.
Nature really needed this rain because it had been to dry for a too long time.

When the earth is still warm from the summer and there is a lot of rain you get a warm, moist environment which is perfect for fungi to grow. And you see them popping up everywhere now.

My Obsidentify app identified this one as a "Leucoagaricus leucothites" or "White dapperling".
This great app helps me a lot of times and is quite accurate with identifying insects, birds, plants etc. But fungi are a bit more difficult because a lot of them look quite similar.
So if the app is wrong, please let me know 😊

The bottom of the fungi are so interesting. You cannot see this unless you get down or you pick them (which I never do by the way).

These little ones look so cute. They are just 2 centimeters tall. According to Obsidentify it are Marasmius oreades, also known as the fairy ring mushroom. They didn't exactly form a ring, so that
should explain why I also didn't spot the fairy.

The last ones I spotted were these two hidden in the long grass. They look a bit like burnt pancakes to me. My app wasn't able to identify them, so maybe one of the experts here knows what species these are.

I hope you liked my post 😊

There are two more months to the edible mushroom season here. It'll probably come out in November and can't wait to collect it.

it was a very pretty mushroom, and almost like a child's cake at first glance.

Nice captures. I like the upclose view to the gills of the mushroom. I’m spotting some mushroom here and there but the unusual summer got them confused, it seems. Usually, by this time of the year, it’s full of mushrooms everywhere.
