Autumn in pictures: A photographic walk through the Park”
Every season has it charms. Most people love summer because it is warm and sunny, but wouldn't it be boring if we had that all year long?
I like the different seasons. That keeps the places that I regularly come across on my walks interesting. Especially autumn, where there is a lot going on the the parks. I really like the smell in forestial places during fall.
Both the meteorological and the astronomical autumn have already begun. We did experience some colder weather and it has been raining a bit more as well. This week it is quite soft. Not much rain and not too cold.
The trees are still full of leaves, although most of them are starting to change colors.
Here and there you see some branches that have yellow leaves already. It's funny how some branches to have them and most others don't. I would expect the entire tree to start turning yellow at once.
Last week we had our first autumn storm. It wasn't a real heavy one, but because the trees are still full of leaves, they do catch a lot of wind. In the park I did notice a couple of broken branches.
In the park I visited are quite a lot of oak trees. On some spots the forest floor is covered in acorns. I did hear some of them falling on the ground near me when I walked there. Luckily I wasn't hit 😂
And autumn is also fungi season. It's funny how fungi stays underground all year and comes up when the it's getting more moist in the parks. I spotted these fungi grouped together on some dead wood.
And no, I don't pick and eat fungi from the parks.
Some bushes and trees have their leaves turn into many different colors. They turn from green to red and then from yellow to brown.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this little autumn walk through the park as much as I did.

Your path seems to be trees all the way and they're beautiful. Oath? I like that meal so much.

Before reading the text, I thought that those fungi were frozen grapes... 😂 I remember when the cold arrived earlier, grapes looked similar in my father's backyard... 😃
I do miss autumn, as here in Spain (in the part where I live), we almost don't have it at all... The transition from summer to winter is literally just a few days...

Haha. I see what you mean. Frost on the fungi is also cool to photograph. But it's still a bit too warm for that now.
