Love, Love! The purest feeling and that, although many do not admit it, moves the world, well, that's how I see it. Since we are born, we do it loving, love for our parents, for our siblings, then we grow up and learn to love our friends. The day comes when we meet that special person who moves us and we get to know a different kind of love, more passionate and carnal, but love nonetheless. One day we start a new journey with that loved one and as a result of that love, the purest of love arises, the most sublime and wonderful form of representation, the love for our children.

In short, love gives meaning to our existence and how not to celebrate it, and the best way is to live it day by day, taking care of it every day, so that it grows and becomes stronger as time goes by. But everyone knows that there is a day in which we celebrate it more intensely, the world-famous February 14, Valentine's Day or Day of love and friendship. I don't know how you know it, but, it doesn't matter, the important thing is to show our loved ones, even with a small detail that we love them.

Today to commemorate this date, I bring you a very simple and economical detail that you can use to give as a gift this February 14th, which is not long away. The materials you will need are very few and easy to find, in the image above you can find them in more detail. While browsing the internet I found this beautiful crepe paper heart and the idea, besides being very simple, I found it really very practical. You can give it as a gift, as simple as I show you, just placing a nice message, you can also use it to complement a floral arrangement or the presentation of a gift of any kind. Anyway, I see many options, it's just a matter of creativity.

But, let's start with the process of making this beautiful and simple heart. The first thing I did was to trace a heart on a piece of paper, and then transfer the heart shape to a piece of cardboard.

As a second step take my crepe paper sheet, just as it comes, you should not unroll it or anything. Cut several strips of about 6 cm wide, and one of 3 cm, I must emphasize that the amount of 6 cm strips to use will depend on the size of the heart, I made a small one. Then, I took the 6 cm wide strips and cut small squares of 6x6 cm and reserved them for later use.

The narrowest strip, the 3cm wide one, I used to wrap the height stick that carries the heart. To cover it, I just put some glue on one end of the stick and secured one end of the strip of crepe paper. Next, I rolled the paper along the entire length of the toothpick, always stretching the paper a little so that it would fit snugly. When I reached the other end, I secured it very well with glue so that it would not come loose.

Once I had the stick lined, the next step was also very simple, I enlisted my hot silicone gun and glued the stick to the heart that I had previously cut out of cardboard, as shown in the image.

For this step, I looked for the 6x6 cm squares that I had previously cut in crepe paper and as you can see in the images with the help of a pencil, turn them over and twist them a little and they are twisted at the bottom and at the top they look like a kind of little flowers.

We must shape each square one at a time and immediately glue it on the heart, so we put glue directly on the cardboard. Another way is to put glue in a bottle and wet the base of each flower with a little bit of glue and then glue them to the cardboard. To glue them, use a pencil and they will look as shown in the image.

Continue gluing and sticking each piece of crepe paper until the heart is completely covered and let it dry for a few minutes before proceeding to the next step.

While I was waiting for the glue to dry a little, I took the opportunity to have a cup of coffee, and when I finished, I was ready to continue. Now, turn the heart over and do the same thing we did before, but on the side that is not yet covered. We glue one by one the little flowers that we are forming with the pencil, until we finish covering the whole heart.

When you finish covering everything, you will surely realize that you will need to make some adjustments, for this, with the help of a scissors, carefully trim the paper tips that protrude too much. It is as if you were pruning a bush to finish shaping the heart.

With this last step we have finished, as you can see it was very simple and at least this heart found an owner, because my little girl asked me to take it to her teacher on Tuesday, February 14. So, I have to make some more, for other details that I want to make. Well, I just have to say goodbye hoping that you liked this simple project and that you are encouraged to make it for a loved one.
