Greetings to my fellow photography enthusiasts. Here, I share details regarding the watchtowers of the San Antonio de la Eminencia Castle and their surroundings. Paraphrasing information I consulted on Google—which confirmed my own deductions—the striking lion's head relief at the base supporting the watchtower is an ornamental element typical of the Tuscan style; it was used by royal engineers to symbolize the power of the Spanish Crown.

The camera lens wanders toward the northern part of the city of Cumaná, where one can see the rooftops of houses in the distance, bordering the sea. It also deliberately turns southward to reveal a specific historical detail: a section of the Santa Inés Cemetery, the final resting place of José Antonio Ramos Sucre—the poet of suffering and despair.

I conclude this visual tour with the surrounding natural foliage—plants typical of a warm climate. I am particularly struck by the shadows cast by the trees upon the earth of Cerro Pan de Azúcar.
