My very first time on Liketu [ENG - ESP]
This is my first time with Liketu and I have decided to do something special, to show you part of the historical center and some interesting buildings of my beloved city of Valencia, Venezuela. This city has welcomed me as a son, since almost two years ago, so I have learned to enjoy it and know it.
I like architecture, I believe that the way in which a city is built tells us its history through its past. And with Valencia, the same thing happens. In some parts it seems stopped in time and in others modernity coexists perfectly with the vestiges of colonization.
The center of Valencia, for example, preserves very well its historical sites, its Bolivar Square, its colonial buildings. All this on a par with the commerce and residential areas. But, at the same time, the city has been growing over the years, leaving behind the colonial aspect and modernizing its geography.
This and the economic boom that the country experienced in the middle of the last century, made Valencia a vibrant city with a vision of the future. Proof of this are the great buildings, such as the World Trade Center, Valencia or a variety of buildings and sites of interest that I would like to show you in this publication.
It is important to note that I am not a professional photographer by any means. In fact, I think I fall short, I am missing many more photos of the center of Valencia, other buildings, green areas, but I also know that this is a good start.
Esta es mi primera vez con Liketu y he decidido hacer algo especial, para mostrarles parte del centro histórico y algunas edificaciones de interés de mi querida ciudad de Valencia, Venezuela. Esta ciudad me ha acogido como un hijo, desde hace casi dos años, así que he aprendido a disfrutarla y conocerla.
Me gusta la arquitectura, creo que la manera en la cual se construye una ciudad nos cuenta su historia a través de su pasado. Y con Valencia, sucede lo mismo. En algunas partes parece detenida en el tiempo y en otras la modernidad convive a la perfección con los vestigios de la colonización.
El centro de Valencia, por ejemplo, conserva muy bien sus sitios históricos, su plaza Bolívar, sus construcciones coloniales. Todo esto a la par del comercio y las zonas residenciales. Pero, al mismo tiempo, la ciudad ha ido creciendo con el paso de los años, dejando atrás el aspecto colonial y modernizando su geografía.
Esto y el auge económico que vivió el país a mediados del siglo pasado, hicieron de Valencia, una ciudad vibrante con visión de futuro. Prueba de ello son los grandes edificios, como el World Trade Center, Valencia o una variedad de edificaciones y sitios de interés que me gustaría mostrarles en esta publicación.
Es importante destacar, que no soy un fotógrafo profesional ni mucho menos. De hecho, creo que me quedo corto, me faltan muchas más fotos del centro de Valencia, otros edificios, zonas verdes, pero también sé que este es un buen comienzo.

How do you like liketu so far? that church is beautiful. I wonder when did they build that one.
I really liked Liketu a lot ☺️. I find it super practical and the photos don't lose quality. The church has a gloomy look that I have always found enigmatic.
It's simply aesthetic.
