Horse Fly

A large horse fly, this is now the biggest I have caught in this last two weeks, it is the size of a large live wasp :))) . And when this horse fly bites you, it feels like someone cut a small piece of your skin with a knife. Their bite does not cause swelling, but the momentary bite is very painful. But of course, after the bite, the place where it did it, then on this place the skin starts to itch for a long time, which is very annoying at the end of the day :))

I be soon back what more Macro photos, I have more bug photos, and also more bugs to hunt.

When I started searching on the net to see how many names I could get, here is a small list of how many species of flies we have, there are an insane amount of them in different colors and sizes.

What a picture and discovery, I can see a huge number of lenses in the eye of this fly. If m not wrong are all these lenses or anything else?

Uh ... I did not zoom so in yet , but I am süre it can be lenses 😅👌👌👌👌☕ and thanx to come and look.

I really enjoyed the video and your photos, I have a lot of affinity with macro photography, I just need the lens 😂 That App "YouCut" is very good, I use it occasionally and it gives good results.

It's been a while since I have seen a horsefly, but they definitely do hurt when they bite you!

Uh .... I have them every summer lot, just now I was come from forest , and my legs all itchy because they bite all the time :)) ... But yes this one here bite very strong if I let :))

We get mosquitoes mostly and the smaller house flies. Those are what really "bug" us here!

there is no cure for it, we have to get used to them, but if we start using too many chemicals to repel them, we are already damaging our own health.
But yes they are all annoying especially when it's a nice warm evening and we want to enjoy it without someone eating are leg or neck.

Yeah, that has to be hard. When the weather is cooler you can at least wear pants and long sleeves. When it's hot though, you are dinner!

Horse fly! With the annoying bite, you made me remember that here in Venezuela there are two micro insects that the bite is very annoying, the itch lasts several days; the names are Puripuri and Tabano, the first is about the size of a dot and the other is the size of a mosquito. Hmmm... I must google and look in this names you text 😅👌👌 I first time read names you say. But yes I am sure all labds have this horse fly but just all have there own names .

Ah :))) ..... if you be all time in big forest , you see bugs every day .... just in winter time I not see them :)) .... bugs are not bad , just take them up and make photos.

I watched the video , those antenna embedded in human skin must feel horrible, I read the post too, those paws are possibly the ones that cut the skin, conclusion, it's better to walk away
