More snakes

The day has started with a nice warm sun, so another snake came out and crawled on the road and tried to enjoy the last warm rays of the summer sun.
This one here is a male European viper and he was very vicious, so I couldn't go without my camera bag close , when I put the bag lightly on his head, I was able to take a few good macro pictures of his skin, which always has an interesting texture.

If you see this snake , not go close, you must learn how to hold your nerves strong and your hands not shaking.

I be soon back what more snake photos, if nature gives me more them :)) soon is winter back and they all sleep.

I was use here my Sony A6000
I was use here my Sony E 30 mm lens

Very interesting pictures.
But I would like to advise you not to go so close to the snakes as they are harmful for human beings.
By the way I like pictures of these snakes

The pattern on its skin looks as if it is something like many sharp blades. It's really very interesting to see a snake this close. This is real wildlife photography! : )

YEs this blades idea is not bad ... poison is also like a sharp knife when it gets into your blood, it cuts your legs off quickly.

Why do snakes always like coming out to feel warmth from the sun ?

" When a reptile basks in the sun, the heat of the sun warms their body, which allows them to speed up metabolism and perform important body functions. This increased metabolic rate can also help reptiles digest their food more efficiently. In addition, exposure to the sun's UVB radiation helps reptiles synthesize vitamin D3, which is important for bone health. "

You really like living dangerously for your photos, huh? 😃

I put the bag lightly on his head

Don't get me wrong, you got beautiful shots of this beautiful snake But knowing that it is venomous I would have kept at more of distance.

Thank you for sharing these!

The body of the snake is scary, you see the snake again and again. Great photos anyway

Dangerous snake, but I love the close-up shots. The scales can be counted, and clearly visible, but the snake is always a scary creature. Hats off to your courage to go that close.

Cheers

Relax man .... I have to post also something , if nature give me them just now so lot, I take them up what my camera, but no I am not more afraid, because I have already photographed them in the summer for many years... big ones small ones, big one small ones :))) . And the hands don't shake when I'm close, The hand starts shaking when I touch them 🫣🫣😂, which I've done a couple of times, but you can do that when you have full control over the snake's head... but rest the time not get close, it takes time to feel them , or to feel how strong your nerves are :))

  • I been lucky yes what this end summer, some how they have lot this end summer here :)) , I think they had a nest hole somewhere near here on this rode , which is why many still roam around here.

Look at that skin, well you already saw it hahaha, I will follow your advice, I will stay away from these animals, I do NOT like snakes, it is a good motivation to keep them away from me.
I wish you a happy day
