A solid plan

The second half of the winter and the first half of the spring are the closest we have to vacation season. Far from it but at least our daily routine is much more flexible than in the rest of the year and we can spare a day or two every week to do something out of our usual schedule. So we had this great idea to make a short trip every week within a two hours drive from our base town. There are many places around here that we both have never been and many others that @traisto hasn't visited since her childhood. The plan was solid and we started to execute it with great enthusiasm!

We had so far two trips like that and they were even better than we would have thought. If you scroll back to my blog you'll see many posts about those trips. But the "every week" plan was way too ambitious. The week after our last trip we just did a walk by the sea and the following one...

... well, the following one is this one and we went as far as a walk in the old town which is around 500 meters (0,3 miles) from home :)

Not much of a trip but when you live at a place that people are visiting from all over the world, you can always walk around with a camera in hand and an inquiring look on your face, pretending that you are one of them!

And actually enjoy it :)

I often wonder if I bore my followers as I photograph the same places over and over again. I do try to make different pictures every time apart from the obvious variety in the weather and light conditions. But other than that, the buildings are the same, as well as the castles and fortifications of the town, carrying their wounds from old battles and the burden of their long history.

The camera that I used is a Canon EOS 850D with an EF-S 18-135mm lens attached. I edited the photographs in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic

All the pictures and the words are mine.

I enjoy your photos, it is a place so different for me that I enjoy each time I get to see the cities there in Greece through your eyes or lens.
