My meetings with deer

Hi!

There are fields, meadows and forests in the vicinity of my city. In these areas, deer lived practically several dozen, sometimes several hundred meters from the buildings. You could often meet them, so one day I bought myself a telephoto lens to take pictures of them. The lens itself was of an amateur grade, so I got to know its limitations pretty quickly. However, in spite of them, they managed to take a few photos while stalking deer grazing in the fields.

W bliskiej okolicy mojego miasta są pola, łąki i lasy. Na tych terenach praktycznie kilkadziesiąt, czasami kilkaset metrów od zabudowań żyły sarny. Często można je było spotkać, dlatego pewnego dnia kupiłem sobie teleobiektyw aby zrobić im zdjęcia. Sam obiektyw był klasy amatorskiej, więc dość szybko poznałem jego ograniczenia. Jednak pomimo nich podczas podchodów pod pasące się na polach saren kilka zdjęć udało się im zrobić.

It was hard to get to them. They sensed my presence from a distance and began to watch me. A short moment to take a photo and the deer in panic began to run away.

Ciężko było je podejść. Z daleka wyczuwały moją obecność i zaczęły mnie obserwować. Krótka chwila na zrobienie zdjęcia i sarny w popłochu zaczęły uciekać.

Here I was a bit lucky because there was a hill between us.

Tutaj trochę szczęścia miałem, ponieważ między nami było wzniesienie.

Looks like she stuck her tongue out at me. A brief moment and she was gone.

Wygląda jakby mi język pokazała. Krótka chwila i już jej nie było.

There are nine pieces here. There were also groups of a dozen or so.

Tutaj jest dziewięć sztuk. Zdarzały się także grupy po kilkanaście sztuk.

Currently, more houses are being built in these areas. The deer are almost gone. You can rarely find even one of them.
Below is quite the opposite situation. The photos below come from my trip to Morskie Oko in the Tatra Mountains.

Obecnie na tych terenach budowane są kolejne domy. Sarny niemal zniknęły. Rzadko można spotkać chociaż jedną z nich.
Poniżej za to całkiem odwrotna sytuacja. Zdjęcia poniżej pochodzą z mojej wycieczki nad Morskie Oko w Tatrach.

Roe deer calmly passed among the people and posed for the photo.

Sarna spokojnie przeszła sobie pomiędzy ludźmi i zapozowała do zdjęcia.

And she calmly walked away.

I spokojnie poszła sobie dalej.
