Nostalgia: my visit to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka Campus 😊

Hey, fellow hiveans! πŸ‘‹ I visited my cousin who lives in Nsukka to spend my holidays, and I decided to take a stroll through the Nsukka Campus of the university of Nigeria which was where I studied before crossing over to the Enugu Campus. While I was walking, a wave of nostalgia hit me, and on impulse, I whipped out my phone and started taking pictures. I'd like to share them with you!

Once I got past the gate, I walked for a few minutes until I got to the hostel where I stayed during my first year. I stayed in the Eni-Njoku hall, and coming across it after so long made me remember my roommates, the fun memories i made, the good times, and the not-so-good times. Yup, it was definitely fun

Next, I passed the university stadium, and decided to take a look inside. It was mostly empty, as almost everyone is on holiday, but it felt good to be there. I got flashbacks of the weekends I had spent there with friends, all in the name of keeping fit, and the time we hosted a gospel concert there. Those were good times.

My next stop was the faculty of biological sciences building, popularly known as the Jimbaz building πŸ˜‚. I had many classes here, and the familiar frequent struggle for a good seat popped into my mind

Opposite the Jimbaz building, there's a place colloquially called β€˜container', so called because the place was made out of a giant metal cargo container, which was recycled and turned into a complex of shops. I remembered the countless stops there after a long lecture to get some snacks, or the times I had some online payments to make to the University and had to make use of a cyber cafe service.

I decided to take a detour to the faculty of physical sciences lecture theater, where I had a lot of classes, and met a bunch of people.

Standing right beside it, we have the faculty of engineering new annex lecture theater. This one has a sweet spot in my heart, because apart from lectures, this was the major location of uncountable brainstorm sessions, group readings and all-nighters.

About a minute from there, I got to the faculty of physical sciences building (different from the lecture theater), commonly called the Abuja building. It's the oldest building in the university, and I used to attend my physics and chemistry practicals there, not to mention the times when I'd lie on the roof and stare at the sky. I miss that a lot.

I saw a tree with beautiful, blooming flowers, and decided to take a shot. I find it really beautiful 😍

At this point, I was tired of walking, and decided to head back home. I took a picture of the emblem of the university- the lion in chains- just for keeps 😊. The pic turned out okay, though.

The last picture I took for the day was of a statue. It was a dove on a globe, with wings outstretched. I call it β€˜ Peace over everything πŸ•ŠοΈ '

All in all, I had a fulfilling stroll, and remembered a lot of joyful memories, which I'm happy about. I really hope you guys enjoy viewing the pictures!
Thank you πŸ˜ŠπŸ’“
