My scale is an asshole... my training diary entry from July 16 2026 PP

(Here is another photo taken during a hike in December. It was a brilliant day with plenty of sunshine.)
Hi Actifitters,
yesterday, among other things, I worked on pull-ups. I still do them with the help of a resistance band, since I wouldn't be able to manage even a single one without it. With the band's support, I can now manage three. As soon as I make further progress, I’ll start training according to a structured plan.
To wrap things up, I hopped back onto my indoor bike and rode my benchmark route again. My numbers are slowly improving. But see for yourselves. The figures in parentheses are from the first workout.
Duration - 0:36:30 (0:37:49)
Distance - 20.85 km (20.77 km)
Elevetaion gain - 33 m (33 m)
Average speed - 34.3 km/h (33.0 km/h)
Maximum speed - 40.4 km/h (41.6 km/h)
Average power output - 188 watts (167 watts)
Maximum power output - 349 watts (269 watts)
Average heart rate - 143 bpm (148 bpm)
Maximum heart rate - 164 bpm (178 bpm)
The slight progress is best seen when comparing power output and heart rate. Although the wattage increased, the heart rate values went down. I am satisfied.
Mission 80 (Day 18 = 89.5 kg / Goal = 80.0 kg / Initial weight = 90.0 / Total loss = 0.5 kg)
On the other hand, I’m not at all happy with my weight. Two days ago, I weighed 1.5 kg less. I’d really like to know where those 1,500 grams came from. Sure, I had a slight calorie surplus yesterday, but a very significant deficit the day before. So, it just doesn't make sense to me. And for the life of me, I can't imagine my body building enough muscle in such a short time to account for that weight gain. Let's just agree that the scale is an asshole and I won't let it discourage me.
Push-ups and possibly a cycling session are on the agenda again today.

Wishing you good luck 🤞.
👏
I had to step away from the gym for health reasons, yet I can’t endure being without exercise… tomorrow I’ll resume without fail, mindful of avoiding strain. I suppose I’m a little like you, haha.
Haha... there might actually be something in common there. ;)
Listen to your body and just do the bare minimum for now. 🍀
I think the weighing scale has an issue
