The Battle Against Calories... my training diary entry from May 10 2026

(Here is another snapshot from my walk in Berchtesgaden last Saturday. Little details like this along the path always put me in a good mood.)
Hi Actifitters,
since I consumed significantly more calories than I burned at the birthday party on Saturday—with all the cake and barbecue food—a few of those calories had to be neutralized yesterday. Moreover, yesterday was Mother's Day, which meant a few more calories had to be factored into the equation.
So yesterday—in addition to a relatively high step count—I also clocked 50 kilometers on the indoor bike. All told, I burned just over 4,000 calories yesterday. For a Sunday, that’s really quite impressive.
Unfortunately, I have to drive into the office today, as two dreaded in-person appointments await me. Consequently, there isn't much time left for exercise. However, I dragged myself out of bed extra early just so I could squeeze in at least an hour of pedaling before I set off. Sure, I could do something after work, but I can never seem to muster the motivation then—and doing strenuous exercise right before bed isn't exactly the best idea anyway.

I also wanted to do exercise because I am so conscious about my appearance now. And not just that, I have also many health conditions that I have to be very extra careful so the health would not be compromise. But most often the very eager to eat more sugary and high calorie foods sometimes can bring the life stress free for a bit. But I know this would cost me more dangerous outcome if this habit continue. May I have a mind to really look about the good future with a good health also.
