48 kilometers of recovery pedaling... my training diary entry from May 4 2026

Hi Actifitters,
since my muscle soreness from hiking still hadn't subsided, I wanted to take it easy yesterday. So I opted for two 45-minute training sessions for recovery purposes. In the end, I covered 48 kilometers, and my legs actually felt good. So it was probably the right decision.
Today I'll train a little harder again, but still not push myself to my limit. Since I can still feel it in my legs, I think it makes sense not to give it my all just yet.

We’re in the same boat. I’m also recovering from a knock to my ankle – nothing serious, but it is bothering me.
I’m aiming once again to at least manage 5K, whilst it heals and I can push it a bit further.
